So I have a question How come high profile UND Alum have not come out and do more to help safe the name? I am talking about Toews, Oshie or Ed Belfore? If they love the name so much why are they not fighting more. Now I am talking in general not just those guys. I think that people love the name but they do not want to do anything about it.

The only "failure" is your failure to grasp the obvious consequences of your cynical, belated legislative action. Where were you 3-4 years ago, Clueless Al, if the Sioux name/logo was such a pressing issue? So its ok that our president is stabbing us in the back? At least Al is trying to save the name.

We are not sure that we will not be in the Big Sky. Everybody on here is like chicken little The sky is falling!!! Just calm down we are not sure what will happen and for blaming Al Carlson he is the only rep that step up to the plate. There has been no leadership on this at all from the beginning. We had three years and nobody took point to get name to stay. The reason?? The powers that be did not want to take sides and get there hands dirty. In no way should Hak be blamed. He was fighting for the name that he believe was special. I do not believe that the Big Sky will kick us out they just want us to be in good standing with the NCAA. If we can not get a good standing with the name then drop it and do not replace it at all.

Funny how all of a sudden this is an issue for the big sky and this bs about the wishes of the tribes. What about the tribes that want the name? Maybe we should be a independent and be like Notre Dame.

The NCAA is not voluntary if you have sports they are governed by the NCAA. There is no other governing body that I know of its a monopoly. As for Wis and Minn I still believe that they are screwing themselves with that policy remember that this year our biggest attended game was against Anchorage not Minn.

I am not being arrogant just staying it will hurt them more than us. I would rather watch Denver than Wis and there is alot of people in Madison that are not happy about the big ten.

I think that Wisconsin will find out that they need us more than they need them.

I am making the trek to Houghton should be fun. Flying to Marquette and driving.
