Only 1 favored team in AA won yesterday. Grand Rapids played a great game against Edina and potential future Sioux, Zack Budish. Edina has alot of talent. Grand Rapids has Patrick White who seems alot like Oshie. Northern Minnesota teams were 5-0 in the first round of the tournement (both classes).

Zajac got a goal last night. NJ won the shootout, Parise missed his, but he is so much fun to watch... HOW DID WE NOT WIN #8 WITH HIM AND $$$?

Wow, I believe that Southern Minnesota Hockey is a joke, but I have to hand it to Century. Nice job.

He suffered the injury in the Section final. Jason is not a DI caliber player at this point, but that could change after a year or 2 in Juniors. We know he has heart and work ethic (and probably a great wrap-around shot).

Thats what I like, set reasonable expectations.

Another great game for Evan Trupp. Primary Assist on 4 consecutive goals including the game winner. Hextall did not play again.

Nash with another goal in Salmon Arms loss last night. Lee with an assist. We talk alot about Nash for good reason, but Derek Lee will be one of the very top 2008s. I hope we see him in Kelly Green as well.

I think you can get face value (or less) unless the Gophers are playing. My tip, find fans from the team that loses Thursday night. Some, not all will be looking to cash out. Also, not all games will be sold out.

We have a large group that will be decked out in Purple for the 1 vs. 4 game, but probably only that one.

Not sure, but some of these kids probably have a hard time choosing and to rush them probably wouldn't be good either. Eaves has taken some criticism for just that. I suspect that most teams would hope for a firmed up decision be the end of the college hockey season. I have some faith that if Riley is watching the Sioux and how they have just continued to improve throughout the season, he will like what he sees the next few weeks.

I agree, Minnesota kills AA in the first round. The AA that UND saw is NOT the AA playing at the Jon this weekend.

This is a little bit defendant on who actually comes next year. Here would be my leading candidates. 1) A healthy Michael Forney 2) Brad Malone 3) Brett Bruneteau (may be 2008) 4) I agree Toews, will and probably should go pro, but there are some reasons why staying another year may interest him. I don't think his leaving is 100%, but it is close.

Maybe but thats not fighting Sioux hockey. The Sioux will give it their all on every shift or they will sit. What does suck is that UND if far better off going 2-1 this weekend than 2-0, but I expect they will be 2-0.

If I'm not mistaken (and I usually am ) doesn't EJ lead his team in shots? Does he feel he should have led them by more?
