Aiken scored a goal over the weekend for Westside. I suspect that he has a tremendous upside, here is the catch though. If you add up the numbers the Sioux have 1 maybe 2 forward spots available for 07/08 and Toews, Nash, and Lee are still out there. I have no inside knowledge of the situation though. Do you think he could be a potential walk on. On another note Hunter Bishop had a great weekend for Vernon. I know it's unlikely, but I love to see him back.

What I find exciting about this is that after watching Genoway skate this last weekend, you forget how much a mobile defensman can add to transition. We do not have a defensive recruit right now that doesn't have offensive upside (I guess I'm not sure about Marto). LaPoint, Blood, and Gleason are all good offensive players. It's still nice to have a Smaby, Green, Commodore, or Finley around though.

As feared, the Sioux take care of business. MSU drops from a TUC and three comparisons flip the wrong way. Further it is unlikely that MSU becomes a TUC. The good news is UND has apparently locked up a NCAA bid...

Careful what you wish for, the "voters" could decide and then we would have many more eastern teams. Our RPI wasn't hurt, rather Mankato's was, because they lost and as a result they are no longer a top 25 team.

I don't think Forney will be a bust, and I do think he will have a long and successful NHL career. BUT, I hope if next year is a repeat of this, it happens in the USHL. He just needs to get healthy and if it takes an extra year, which it very likely might, so be it.

Wow, were the Sioux ever flying last night. I loved the hit by Kaip. The DOT line could have scored 10. All lines were flying and the passing and recognition were amazing. This was like watching the Sioux in late 90s where every line was scoring. This was a blast to watch. My biggest complaint is come on Oshie, not this crap again, bury a few of these (and in this game add Duncan, Miller, Porter, Martens and a few others). You know the teams is playing well when Finley is breaking in on net on an odd man rush. What a great all around team effort. I just glad Phil is OK. Lets take care of business and stay away from the MSU cheap stuff tonight.
