Perhaps more so than any of the 13 freshman, Finley has looked better than expected. (Possible exception Oshie)
BTW, I just got center ice and you have one kick a$$ rookie.
Let me phrase it this way.
The Sioux will never again have a player more deserving of the award relative to his peers than Panzer. So no, probably not.
As much as I can't stand Skippy, he makes a good point. Let's leave dominating as a term reserved for what the Sioux did to the Gophs the following game. "men vs. boys..."
Interesting Note:
If you pick players to play from a roster weekly or monthly, the Sioux's 2nd half (holidays on) is far easier than the first half.
If you are just looking at rookies:
F:
Toews
Oshie
Duncan
D:
Lee
Chorney
If the whole team is fair play:
#1 and #2 are still Zajac / Stafford
Sparky is a question mark.
Then probably the rookies.
Sleepers:
F: Porter will quietly pile up points
D: Radke looks like a different player from last season
In general, the Sioux will probably score far more goals than last years team.
Good luck.
It seemed to me that the Sioux were often trying to force the puck to Chorney for a shot from the point. He must really have a good shot. Finley really impressed me, in the third, I think he poke checked a puck before the NH player even realized that it was a possibility. The only defender that looked really rough to me was Jones who still made some plays. This does NOT look like a freshman D corps.
I wish Tyler the best, get well and hope to see you play again.
And would like to wish Lucia to be hit by traffic. He should have never brought Hirsch back last year and he knows it. He was screwing with this kids life for the purposes of his season. Wow did that backfire.
