Finley really impressed a lot of people at the recently completed Capitals rookie camp. He even tried to get into it with another prospect but they would have none of that and bee lined it to their bench.

Not sure if it has been posted here but Finley was at the Hershey Bears 1st playoff game last night.

I would think if the caps draft Toews he would at least have two years at UND. Unless he goes crazy dev/performance wise next year, heh.

The Capital would be pretty happy with Toews but Chicago is pretty high on him apparently.

Just curious but how has Finley looked after coming back from the injury and his overall development this year? I see that he had 24 PIMs this weekend, heh.

I think Finley will have a chance to play all four years as the caps have been lucky and have some young d-men breaking into the NHL this year in Eminger/Green/Morrisson and potentially Schultz next year. They can afford to their top 2 2005 picks some time to develop.

Hey sounds great. Thanks for the quick replies. Pokulok and Finley were both considered reaches at least by some pundits but sounds like they are both playing well. Heheh, yeah Ovechkin is a monster right now. If we could only resolve the A. Semin issue and get him over here then we'd have a bit better offensive attack. Though i think the caps are looking at a likely bottom 5 finish however.

As a caps fan I was just curious about how he's looked so far during his Freshman season?
