who knows really. with a deep lineup like this i dont know if you can really say a specific line is a 2 or 3 or 4. lots of talent this season top to bottom so i wouldnt look at it that way. last year yes and many years yes you could ahve done that but who knows this season. this team will be able to score!! just looking at that 12 its hard to find a player you can say for sure is a 4th liner. great problem to have
-
no ticket is impossible aywhere, just gota be willing to pay i hear ya though would be a fun trip for sure though
-

its not made up, thats the thing. its up to him and a huge decision for himself overall. he wouldnt go to another college as im not sure he took classes last year so then he would have to sit out another year if thats the case. it will be und or atlantas system imo -

its gona be interesting if forney does come in which i think he will or if he chooses to sign with atlantas system. if he doesnt then throw rowney in there for sure and davidson and brunuteau scratches if all healthy. thats a hell of a 12 player lineup imo. i move cichy up and forney but i guess with a balanced 12 like that with a few snipers you just roll 4 lines like hak does and have them all contribute and forget calling certain lines checking line then grinder line ect....just 4 lines with 12 players that can play hockey all around. the d looks good. thats the 6 that will roll out there barring injuries -
hell of a game. the pens did everything they needed to do to win that. blocked tons of shots and held off the wings 3rd period rush. wow. cant wait for game 7!! 2 great teams
-
good for him, hope he can translate to the ahl/nhl with that shot! atlanta had to give him 2 years being a 2nd round pick and see if it works out for them or not. to high of a pick to let walk and be a free agent
-
sorry to hear fabian is done. best luck to him doing the academy and berry running it as well, very nice!
-
frattin was solid last year but i look for him to put up big numbers this season! for a breakout player that we really could use i would say trupp, we have to have his skills scoring and contributing nightly! injuries have bugged him but hes dam talented. hope we see it break out! ill say sophmore that turns heads is david toews coming in healthy this year along with the duo of blood and finhage
-
yes for the most part vs both the minor leagues you mention. unless you are a draft pick and you are in the ahl as a stepping stone to nhl obviously
-
C - genoway A - vande velde A - zajac (not sure on these last 2 A's) A - malone also with roster almost set waiting on forney if he doesnt come in then 2 players scratched i see bruneteau and davidson depending on injuries of course and other factors and gleason at D. fienhage is gona turn some heads this year with his play every night. just a early prediction. i love the duo of cichy and kristo coming in!! cant wait.

i have to believe this is going 7 games. the way each goalie has played on the road vs home seems to be the trend of how the games play out. unless detroit jumps on pitt early and get get up a couple i look for the pens to get this back to detroit for the whole damn thing for a great game 7

the ball is in forneys court. its his decision from what ive heard and he should be making that decision sometime soon. knight will be back in AJHL next year and mattson will be at UND so forney is the last piece to the puzzle as of now -

i would look for knight to be back in AJHL next season and if so that leaves mattson, kristo, brunuteau, cichy and forney if he chooses to as the forward crop coming in this fall -
it for sure did and hope someday it will again but that wont happen until bettman is gone. cities like that hockey can be king if winning but not across country as a whole
-
yeah, im guessing you aren't one of my english professors so wasnt really worried about it and i was headed out the door hockey never was and wont be a big time tv rated sport. it was way better when it was on ESPN as we all know but thats nobodys fault but gary bettmans and thats not a secret. the nhl wouldnt out duel the nba playoffs either even if it was on espn/abc. not with kobe and lebron doing their thing as they did and kobe still is. the nba is a global sport like hockey but there is a huge difference when we are talking how the game translates to tv and how many NON hockey markets there are out there. the nhl better start plucking teams like phx, florida ect....back to hockey markets and that would be a big step in the right direction for the sport. the big difference is basketball/baseball and football can and are played anywhere and everywhere. you need ice to play hockey and its not a sport many grow up playing or interested in unless you are from a hockey market like minnesota and places like that. hell i had to change from hockey to basketball when i moved to phx in 1991 as ice time was so expensive for my mom to even think about at that time so it was bball for me. obviosuly i never lost my love for hockey but thats because i am from northern minnesota and you are born on skates there. just some reasons why it will never be up to par ratings wise with the other sports heck im with you though on how exciting the stanley cup playoffs are. ive watched tons of games but thats because we are hockey fans and as we all know there arent many hockey people out there for the most part which shows in the popularity of the sport
-
sorry but the NBA despite having a commishiner that has major flaws as well is on a very high level right now overall. its so global and big here in the united states as we speak it blows hockey out of the water, not even close at all. hockey is a joke right now unless you grew up with the sport or live in a nhl city. hell most couldnt even tell you who are playing in the cup finals. if sidney crosby wasnt in the finals then half of the casual sports fans who may follow hockey wouldnt even know it was going on. thats not a slap to the pens or wings but the honest truth on where the sport is as a whole .to you hockey may be more exciting but to 90% of the casual sports fans it isnt and thats the reason its on the channel its on. its a business at the end of the day and the nhl is way down on the todem pole in revenue and excitement. hell poker draws a way bigger audience than hockey so that proves all points as well. its not ESPN, its the NHL and the idiot running the league into the ground or almost did a few years back and now is paying for it in many different ways. for the series, the wings win this in 5 if the pens cant win tomorrow night. if pens win then i see it going 7 and wings winning another cup. overall just so damn good. great players on both teams though so fun to watch!

nice research by brad http://www.areavoices.com/undhockey/ One interesting note about the men's hockey coaching staff is that all three of them -- Dave Hakstol, Cary Eades and Dane Jackson -- played hockey and received degrees from UND. Out of curiosity, I finally decided to look up how many other coaching staffs around the country are made up of three alums. The answer is zero. The Sioux staff is the only in Division I -- men's or women's -- that has a coaching staff made up entirely of alums. And you can go much further than those three. Basically everyone surrounding the program is an alum.

great problem to have if you have the right players who understand and for sure good problem as there is a injury or 2 per season. like you said as i stated that would leave 1 other player sitting per night that probably is a every night player but somethng will have to give. it woiuld be nice to have just the 2 extra forwards but it seems the sioux will have 3 the ways things are shaking out. -
olsen is a hell of a hockey player and that is evident regarding his draft stock. would have been great to see him in green and white but it didnt work out which was too bad. i think early on he had intentions of playing at UND. he will be great at UMD, kid can play

exactly, you never know at all. injuries got david from the very beginning and then again later on. he was p[roductive when he played and i expect him to be in every night next year along with mattson, knight, cichy and kristo if all 4 come in. i see davidson and bruneteau as 2 guys that will fight for a spot along with 1 other if thats how the numbers do stack up
