saw this as well, funny that some discredit blogs. there is a big difference between a fan blog and a reporters blog. just a faster way to report some news really. i say jordan stays at minnesota and then leaves as soon as they are done and yes not a great endorsement as well no matter that college team if could ahve been

hf montreal top 20 prospects - kristo in and cichy barely out as of now 10. (11) Danny Kristo, RW, 19 Acquired 2nd round, 56th overall, 2008 Kristo's already been introduced to the Canadiens way through his experience with the development and rookie camps. This season, he's going to have a daily reminder of what the future may hold in store for him. Not only will Habs' seventh-round draft pick Michael Cichy join him as a freshman at the University of North Dakota, he'll also room with the 2008 second-rounder. Kristo played with Team USA at last season's World Junior Hockey Championships, and he'll be expected to assume a much larger role as a returning veteran. Kristo's known as a goal scorer, but this year -- especially at Team USA's development camp -- he's shown that he's worked on his speed and all-around aspects of his game. In 50 games last season with Omaha, he scored 22 goals and finished with 58 points. As a freshman, he should bring a strong offensive component to North Dakota's offense and, despite his underclassman status, looks to assume a leadership role on this club.

per brad http://www.areavoices.com/undhockey/ Olympic camps begin The quest for Vancouver has begun in the U.S. for four former Sioux players. Zach Parise and T.J. Oshie currently are participating in the U.S. Olympic men's evaluation camp, while Monique and Jocelyne Lamoureux are participating in the women's camp. The Lamoureux twins will know on Monday whether they are centralizing with the U.S. team. That's when the initial roster will be announced. A few cuts will be made as the team roster gets down to 21 in December. The men's roster probably won't be known until this winter. For more information on both, usahockey.com has posted updates and media guides. Jonathan Toews begins his quest to make Team Canada next week. For more info on the Canadian team, go here.

hf panthers top 20 prospects - lapoint off but knight in 19. Corban Knight, C, 18 Acquired: 5th Round, 135th Overall, 2009 Knight spent last season as a member of the Okotoks Oilers of the AJHL. He scored 34 goals and 38 assists in 61 games. His 72 points were good enough to place him in a tie for eighth in league scoring, and the lead among rookies. Knight is an impressive skater with good offensive instincts and good hands. He has the ability to handle the puck in traffic at high speeds, and has a quick release. He will remain in the AJHL for another year where he will work on his strength. Knight has signed a letter of intent with the University of North Dakota for the 2010-11 season. -

per brad Kristo with big numbers at camp UND freshman Danny Kristo is making a good impression early at the World Junior camp. He is tied for the lead in goals and trails only Jordan Schroeder in points. Kristo is blogging at the camp for USHL.com. View that here. Here are point totals from the three intrasquad games (in red are the guys who aren't playing against Russia): -

per brad WJC camp roster trimmed USA Hockey narrowed the list of players from 42 to 29 at the World Junior evaluation camp and the remaining players will take on Russia in a series the rest of the week. UND freshman Danny Kristo is among the players still at the camp. Mike Cichy, who was there last week, will not play against the Russians. The two Roseau players at camp -- goalie Mike Lee (SCSU) and defenseman Aaron Ness (Minnesota) -- will stay to play against Russia. Team coach Dean Blais said that USA Hockey will continue to evaluate all players -- including those who got sent home -- through December, when the final roster will be announced. Each year, there are always a handful of players who get picked for the team after not getting an invite to the camp. -
I didnt know him personally but was asked to make a brief post regrading the passing of Troy Riedlinger of Grand Forks who some of you may know and others may not. Otheriwse known here on SS at THETRIOUXPER. He passed away after a battle with Cancer. Agree, disagree, agree to disagree is what we do on this board but one thing we all have in common is the love for sioux hockey and sioux athetics in general so all the best to Troy's family and friends. There will be a service 7pm Monday, Rydell GM Auto Center Showroom - Reception following at Italion Moon immediate follwing service

nice, little gopher on gopher battle on SS bet neither swing and actualy connect gota have fun, still summer and hockey is 2 months away
-
and it always is. thats why they offer season tickets like anything if you buy in bulk you are going to save money
-
because they can do that for the premium games and still sell out within 5 minutes but you cant for all games because of oppenents. the others stay standard and then all games sell out anyhow
-
very true but until they dont sell out it isnt a worry of theirs. you always see corners upper with a few open seats expect for a few teams that come in to the ralph.
-
or hundreds/thousands of other teams that do crazy stuff for the playoffs in hockey im sure he will be ready to roll, this kid can play form everything ive read and seen on him. this could be a class that produce 3 big time players over time at und in rowney, cichy and kristo
-
carter rowney article
-
i hear you but it isnt when thats what people will pay and it will sell out in less than 5 minutes. i understand some cant afford that and this isnt directed at you DAR at all but if a person cant then try and make these the games you go to if you really want to and skip out on others. when the demand is there i have no problem with pricing on anythign that will sell out. just my 2 cents

per brad http://www.areavoices.com/undhockey/ Zach Jones signs with South Carolina Another graduating player has found a pro hockey home this week. Defenseman Zach Jones has signed with the defending Kelly Cup champion South Carolina Stingrays of the East Coast Hockey League. South Carolina director of hockey operations/head coach Cail MacLean said in a statement: "Zach came highly recommended as a defensive-minded defenseman. He plays tough, keeps things simple but is very effective when it comes to taking the body and defensively, taking care of his own zone." In 168 games with the Sioux, Jones tallied one goal, 10 assists and 237 penalty minutes. Terms of his contract were not disclosed in South Carolina's release. That leaves only Matt Watkins and Aaron Walski as unsigned players from UND's graduating class. If the Dallas Stars do not sign Watkins in the next 10 days, he will become a free agent. UND's 2009 graduating class Ryan Duncan -- Salzburg Red Bulls (Austria) Brad Miller -- Austin (AHL)/Idaho Steelheads (ECHL) Ryan Martens -- EHC Dortmund (Germany) Andrew Kozek -- Atlanta Thrashers (NHL)/Chicago Wolves (AHL) Joe Finley -- Washington Capitals (NHL)/Hershey Bears (AHL) Zach Jones -- South Carolina Stingrays (ECHL) Matt Watkins Aaron Walski
