Question for the prospect gurus: Given Jayden Jubenville’s age—turns 20 this summer and is older than several incoming freshmen d-men—is there any chance he comes in this coming fall? Especially if Strathmann waits a year? Or is he maybe a later bloomer who really needs another year of juniors? I’ll hang up and listen.

I’m wondering if a lot of players are waiting to talk to family and advisors during this Easter weekend, and maybe we’ll see a lot of movement during this coming week.

Has anyone heard anything about David Silye’s landing spot (I believe he’s in the portal)? I assume he’s Wisco-bound, but maybe he’s got a good head on his shoulders?

The day off between games favors the Gophers IMO. Motzko can study what QU did to Michigan and try to counter. QU, on the other hand, is what they is. Probably.

Wonder if Barry Melrose will be back in the booth. His disappearance during the QU-Michigan game was weird.

Wonder if Rand Pecknold will get NHL interest if Q takes home the banner? He's been at Quinnipiac for something like 29 years, I believe.

Watching QU last night reminded me of UMD's championship teams (though UMD's d-core was much younger). As in, both QU and UMD played team defense far better than their individual parts suggested. And both teams could manage a one-goal lead.

Regarding Minnesota's recent success: perhaps it could be a combination of both. Regarding a formula for success, I think you are spot on, and I think UND is actually well-suited and well-positioned to pursue such a mix of players. The most recent UND championship team had such a formula.

It would be great to get a kid from Shattuck...seems like it's been awhile.

That level of self-awareness is impressive for a fully-grown adult, let alone an 18-year old.

Yeah, I would agree that the Gophers are more talented: 14 drafted players vs. QU's 2. Perhaps QU can frustrate Minnesota in the neutral zone. And Perets will have to be a stone wall.

I could see QU frustrating Minny like they did Mich: defensive structure, great goaltending, opportunistic offense.
