Question for the prospect gurus: Given Jayden Jubenville’s age—turns 20 this summer and is older than several incoming freshmen d-men—is there any chance he comes in this coming fall? Especially if Strathmann waits a year? Or is he maybe a later bloomer who really needs another year of juniors? I’ll hang up and listen.

Watching QU last night reminded me of UMD's championship teams (though UMD's d-core was much younger). As in, both QU and UMD played team defense far better than their individual parts suggested. And both teams could manage a one-goal lead.

Regarding Minnesota's recent success: perhaps it could be a combination of both. Regarding a formula for success, I think you are spot on, and I think UND is actually well-suited and well-positioned to pursue such a mix of players. The most recent UND championship team had such a formula.

It would be great to get a kid from Shattuck...seems like it's been awhile.
