  1. Job posting open for one week? I suspect they've already got the guy. James Patrick and Brad Berry didn't overlap at all, did they?
  2. We can't all be @Prison_Mike.
  3. Spending a fair bit of time over at eliteprospects.com, and man is that the laggiest, slowest website ever. I swear there's modem sounds in the background.
  4. Right. In his podcast, Schlossman reminded the listeners that last year was VERY slow for commitments. We didn’t get our third commit until sometime in November.
  5. Thanks for posting this.
  6. Wow. That is elite-level recall. +1000 bonus points for you.
  7. He ends up so high off the ground, he's like, "Oh boy, let's see here, gotta be careful getting back down..."
  8. On a brighter note, it’s cool when you meet someone who knew a former player really well and he says, “That guy is one of the nicest people I’ve ever known.” That happened to me today. I truly believe that most of those who play for UND are genuinely decent individuals. It’s why I continue to cheer.
  9. I wonder if Miller will play in Europe.
  10. A gjallarhorn? Heck yeah.
  11. Agreed. I really like our pipeline AND we need to win more battles for the highest-end recruits. It’s both/and, not either/or.
  12. Fantilli was going to come in at 16...11 isn't all that different, is it? We all saw how well early enrollment worked for Doogie Howser, am I right?

    ASU to NCHC

To survive and even thrive as an independent is very impressive. ASU has a lot to be proud of.

    ASU to NCHC

    I like it.

    ASU to NCHC

Holy cow, good memory! While an odd number isn't ideal, it isn't an insurmountable issue. It's a bigger headache for the regular season, as one team will always be without a conference opponent. There are pretty standard approaches for the postseason tournament, as has been mentioned in this thread. The best* option? Top eight teams qualify. Period. It's both simple and provides a natural reward for not finishing in last place (even though teams will have a slightly differing strength-of-schedule due to the "pod" approach of regular-season scheduling). *Best means "that which is closest to my opinion."
  16. The Atlantic has hockey coverage? Or are we talking about The Athletic?
  17. When you gotta go, you gotta go.
  18. After spending decades at DU, Magnus Chrona also on the Barracuda roster. Frisch just can't get away from this guy.
  19. Sometimes having a chip on your shoulder can be a good thing.
  20. +1000 You could read Hemingway and Dickens for months and not come across a better phrase than this.
  21. It's like someone at ESPN reads siouxsports.com: Does height still matter for NHL draft prospects?
  22. Maybe he’s still got a bit more height left in him?
  23. I may be seeing this incorrectly, but it seems like NIL money is mostly going to come into play when recruiting the top 1% of college-bound players. Blue-chippers, first- and second-round draft picks. Guys for whom a college education is likely NOT going to be valuable at that point in their life.
  24. Woog was the Yogi Berra of college hockey. Those quotes are great. “Took one in the toast!” “Flo is back in the diner…”
  25. IF the NCHC adds ASU, which of the following scenarios do you all think is most likely? 1) Add one, lose zero: Simply add ASU to the existing eight members for a total of nine teams. 2) Add two, lose zero: Add a second team along with ASU (within, say, two years), bringing the total number of teams to ten. 3) Add one, lose one: Drop/lose a current member (likely Miami) when ASU joins keeping the total number of teams at eight. 4) Add two, lose two: Add a second team along with ASU, lose Miami and Western Michigan, keeping the total number of teams at eight.
