  1. Useful shot.
  2. That’s helpful. Hopefully.
  3. Cannot let this slip away. UND has controlled this game.
  4. Nice check by Albrecht. Clean. Love it.
  5. The PP will get better, right? Right?
  6. Trip? Yes, yes it was.
  7. Yeah we were laughing. She must be mortified.
  8. Love to see a shorty here.
  9. This is going to get chippy.
  10. It looks like it’s close.
  11. Does anyone keep track of penalties drawn? Cause Blake would be at the top of that list.
  12. Zmolek prevented a good scoring chance for Duluth.
  13. Or just score
  14. A bit choppy so far… Let’s get a forecheck going.
  15. This would be my preference as well.
  16. This weekend feels like it could be a tone-setting type of weekend. Play hard, play smart, avoid bad penalties. Hoping Strinden and James build on an impressive series against BU.
  17. In March 2021, a CC-DU series was canceled because of COVID.
  18. Okay one more list for now. This is a chart of each teams' average goals for (GF) per year, goals allowed (GA) per year, and goal margin (Difference) per year, ranked by the best goal margin to the worst. GF=goals scored per year. GA=goals allowed per year. Difference=goal margin per year. GF GA Difference 1. DU 75.2 55.3 +19.9 2. SCSU 81.9 62.8 +19.1 3. UND 76.9 58.0 +18.9 4. UMD 72.5 57.7 +14.8 5. WMU 74.1 77.7 -3.6 6. UNO 69.2 76.5 -7.3 7. Miami 55.1 83.4 -28.3 8. CC 48.1 81.6 -33.5 (Conference play only. Data from NCHChockey.com.) So, on average, DU has scored 19.9 more goals per season of conference play than it has allowed, the best of any team in the NCHC, followed closely by SCSU and UND. Miami and CC have struggled mightily both in scoring and preventing goals, which is why they're both allowing about 30 more goals per season than they're scoring.
  19. Here are the teams, best to worst, for goal scoring in the first decade of NCHC play: SCSU - 819 total goals scored UND - 769 DU - 752 WMU - 741 UMD - 725 UNO - 692 Miami - 551 CC - 481
  20. A couple of observations... It's stunning how even UND and DU have been in conference play. I honestly expected Miami to have been the worst team in the NCHC so far. But no, that's CC.
  21. Here are the cumulative standings for the first ten seasons of NCHC conference play*. W L T Points 1. UND 143 77 20 455 2. DU 138 76 24 455 3. SCSU 135 83 22 436 4. UMD 126 93 21 412 5. WMU 109 113 20 356 6. UNO 103 119 18 329 7. Miami 62 154 24 229 8. CC 53 156 29 202 *The data is from NCHChockey.com which varied slightly from CHN.com. Goal totals to come...
  22. Entering this year, the NCHC existed for ten seasons. So I asked myself, in NCHC conference play, which team won the most games? Earned the most points? Which team scored the most goals? Allowed the fewest goals? If someone has already done the research, I couldn't find it. I didn't look really hard. So I did a little research myself. Answers to come...
  23. 5-1-0-0-1-0 This is the current record for a random college hockey team as presented on USCHO.com. This is just ridiculous. You shouldn't need more than two dashes. Wins, losses, ties. Please.
  24. Hope the '06 defensemen start putting up a few points as the season progresses.
  25. Sacha Boisvert tagged as a "Stock Rising" in EP's USHL Stock Watch.
