To add to this, as someone on here had previously mentioned, the games where he had lots of rushing attempts were games we lost. - 13 attempts against USD (this is when the season turned for him and his play declined) Schedule got much better so that factors in too - 17 attempts against NDSU - 14 attempts against SDSU The season is long and grueling already, putting this much on him at the end certainly didn’t help.

Another thing. No reason Jerry should have more than 10 rushing attempts in a game. There should be some scrambles, some where he pulls to keep the defense honest, maybe a couple of designed runs. It should never get to the point where he is continuously getting beat up.

Going to need 2 or 3 WR’s from the portal this year. Let’s hope we hit big and find what we have desperately needed for a long time.

Other Bison fans on the other hand…

Learn from the second half of this year and continue to develop. There are some things he can clean up with accuracy and decision making. Get him a couple of true weapons at WR too.

Hopefully we start to see a string of portal commits start to come through.

Parks and Devereaux will get a lot of time. Do you think they go get an additional LB from the portal? Boll played a bit last year, and they brought in Starcevic. Don’t know enough about the other young guys to know whether they can contribute next year or not. I always get PTSD from 2017, when poor Rastas had to get thrown out there. (And actually held his own at times)

I see a big game for him against Nebraska. Imagine he will be fired up for that one. As the second half against Tarleton showed, these defense is so much better with him on the field.

Winthrop is a solid team. Good win!

I think he made the correct decision. Dominate again at this level, and he’ll have a chance to prove himself at the next level.
