That sucks, horrible injury to recover from. He will have to work hard and I doubt he will be full speed by next football season.

Taj Rich has had a rough game.
-
Some might question the fake punt call but it was open as long as we execute, which didn't happen.
-
So three guys can't block one guy on the fake punt. Nice!
-
What is the play by play guy talking about?

I have no picture or audio now, but I can watch Weber and Portland state.

yep, the game flipped to Rice/North Texas. Steams is back but sucks.

Off topic but I have never really looked over egriz much so I did so today. They really do have a bunch of whiners as fans. I get being upset with the horrible officiating during the UND/Montana game but they have very distorted view of events.

I don't recall ever having good Mexican or Tex/Mex food in the Dakotas!

Firehouse in general just makes a far better sandwich, I have never had anything I didn't like and have been to several in different parts of the country.

Just because Bison fans post on here doesn't make them a troll. I like having other contructive insight but I will admit it has to be difficult when people get attacked as soon as they post something that is disagreeable to certain fans on the message board. It quickly escalates into a pissing contest and that pretty much sucks all around. In general I haven't found things to be all that bad on the message board but I certainly haven't looked over everything.

His consistency has been his inconsistency! That said he did look pretty good last game up until the injury. He has also show some improvement overall but the throwing into coverage is something that needs to stop.

Any wins UND gets are likely to be close and low scoring based upon how the defense and offense have played. With offense UND has been putting on the field this year a blowout win would be unlikely, even against poor competition.

Joe hasn't been good this year but until he left the game on Saturday he was looking sharp. He was accurate and decisive and playing very well and based upon that I think he starts as long as he is healthy enough to do so. I felt Bartels should have been the starter this season to begin with based upon last years performance but he didn't win the job. The coaching staff could have and maybe should have looked to Bartels in some other games when Joe was playing poorly and turning the ball over but they didn't. If they didn't replace him then why would they now after he actually played extremely well up until the concussion? Even if Mollberg gets the start I agree that he will have a shorter leash based upon play on the field.

Maybe you are well on your way to becoming an A student!

The defensive front got pushed around a lot more today than they have the last several weeks. I thought Joe was looking really good today. It really sucks that he seemed to be getting it figured out and gets hurt. (concussion I assume). I also think the officiating was brutal again today.

I agree with the practice time issue but I still like the idea of taking a good athlete (WR,DB, RB) that is further down the depth chart and having them in that role. It still takes away from practice but it just seems like you could do so much more with an athlete in that role.

My guess is he said snap when he was actually meaning the whole process of snap through the hold. Because the bottom line is that the kicker never had a chance with the ball on it's side when he tried to kick it.

I only watched the first few plays but I don't see it.

I have always felt the holder should be one of the better athletes on the team. I think it gives you more options if you need a fake or things go bad.

I thought he had a pretty good game today but I did not say he was inaccurate just that it's inconsistent so we end up leaving things on the field. I know you tend to only focus on the good with Joe and that is fine but certainly will not pretend he doesn't still have some work to do. He made some very good throws today and some bad throws as well. I really thought he did a good job in the pocket avoiding pressure most of the day. You seem to think the comparison is and insult. I guess I don't see it that way but it does point to places of potential improvement.

Really liked Bowenkamp and never thought he was given enough credit. I also agree that I wouldn't have considered him great though.

I disagree a somewhat. Two weeks ago I would have said NDSU would thrash UND but I am not so sure anymore. NDSU doesn't appear to be as good this year (time will tell) although still a very good team with a pretty average offense. I don't doubt NDSU would beat us but I doubt they could run up the score with how much the defense has improved. It is pretty natural for a team that has been riding high like NDSU to start to move back to the pack some because that level of success is pretty much impossible to maintain. UND was in a low so some upward swing would be expected, it just seems the defense has improved a lot faster than expected by most people. It was interesting watching and listening to the TV broadcast because they were talking about the great talent on the UND defense. Well most of the guys playing were on the roster last year but the defense was terrible. I think it says more about the coaching staff and the work ethic of the guys that stuck it out, than it does about talent level. The defense is getting better every week and that isn't improved talent, it's guys knowing what to do and getting the job done.

Your Hendrickson love really confuses me sometimes. It's like you only remember his raw athleticism and a couple really good games. What about everything else? When I think of really good to great UND QB's his name isn't even on the radar.
