So Minot State was just to assume that when he said "I am committed to Minot State Football for the long haul" during the interview process that he was lying? If you make a commitment you need to honor it. IMO he never should have even applied for the job considering he didn't really want to be there. So he's leaving Minot State hanging and lied too, while going back to his "abusive spouse" It make him look like a pile of crap and not very intelligent in the process. You would think that a guy who just got screwed over so badly would understand and not turn around and do something bad to other people. I don't know if he is a good person or not, but he certainly handled this entire situation poorly.

You put him on leave and do a real investigation. He should have been cleared at that point but people were not very smart about it.

The problem for me is that Minot State is a really tough place to have success and at Minnesota State it will be a lot easier. I think it's more about this then it is any type of redemption. The way he did it shows a real lack of tack as well. Shoot the AD an I quit email 15 minutes before a press conference announcing your intentions. He better not lose his job again because I think what he did he may and should come back to bite him. I am certainly glad UND didn't hire him to coach in any capacity.

I'm glad for Hoffner, but really disappointed he jumped ship on Minot State. They offered him a chance when most would not have and they end up suffering for it.

It's called fundamentals and all football teams should work on it at every practice.

Disagree with the body type thing because I have seen way to many guys that "Look like Tarzan, play like Jane" to buy into the body type argument. I have also watched a lot of fat bodies kick ass on the field. I am more concerned with movement, power (not strength) and attitude or aggressiveness.

He is reffering to this year. Rt didn't turn und around in year one and if you think ndsu current success doesn't affect recruiting you aren't thinking clearly. The situation can be corrected but it will not happen over night.

I can't speak for brooks as a recruiter but I know first hand how Hedberg is.

Hell, the Dallas area has several high school stadiums that could easily host the games. UNT isn't that far away and has two stadiums and either would have a better playing surface.

Since Rudolph was already in the State higher education system, it might have been faster to get him cleared.

If this is the case zero football coaches would have a job. You can't put this on the coach, only judge how he handled the situation after it occured. He did bring in the recruits but has know way of knowing they would behave in this manor. I saw enough while at UND to believe rt and dl would be fired or not hirable with what some of the players did off the field if coaches are reaponsible for players off field antics. That being said, most of what I saw wasn't public knowledge or guys were not caught in the act.

Hedberg might be a good position coach but I don't care for him as an OC.

Watching the press conference Bubba knows what type of guys he would like to hire. Just because someone has experience doesn't mean they are good or will be a good fit with UND and it's new football philosophy. I trust Bubba, and will not prejudge whoever he hires. For several reasons I wouldn't judge any coach based upon how they faired at Minot State.

Bollingers team beat the team that handed NIU a loss in the MAC title game. Still can't really verify Landry is a coach at NIU though.

So is he a volunteer? Find it hard to believe a paid coach wouldn't be listed with the rest of the staff.
