and I think its free to attend UND baseball games?
-
You think this is jealousy. You should have read Bisonville in the early 2000's.

I made a comment before about how the rest of the FCS will also find out what UND has to put up with in regards to how NDSU fans often act. Top page banner on Championshipsubdivision.com "Congrats Sam Houston State: National runner up" Sponsored by JBB and Lakes.

The point is when UND says enrollment of 14,000, lots of people think its 14,000 students walking around UND campus....right or wrong..."old fashion" thinking. But a certain percent of 14,000 students will never set foot on UND's campus or will for only a week or two a year. I forget the number but 20-30% of UND's enrollment is strictly online? Yeah its great people are getting online degrees. I got no qualm about it. Other than the fact it's easier to cheat. (save your comments I took an online class from UND). All this because, I was just wondering if NDSU actually has more students physically on campus.

Don't get too jealous...its still just talk. Like a new on campus stadium for UND....over a half decade now. Add a year or two or three before its announced and a year (or two) for completion....and it could be 2016 before its open.

What happens if the first petition gains enough signatures?

Change the Name so I can watch UND play the Gophers!!!! ME ME ME ME ME -
I think it is important to the economic impact of the University on Grand Forks. The athletic teams that benefit from having student fans at the games. The employees whose job depends on serving students food and shoveling sidewalks. In no way was I "degrading" online courses/degrees. I think physical bodies are important. More important than online degrees.

No. Pretty sure tomorrow it goes into effect. UND will be the "Fighting Sioux." If the quick count has the required number of signatures. -

But aren't more people actually walking on NDSU's campus?

My prediction is the attorney general will find some thing "wrong" with the petition and it will not go to a vote....I think they have already started implying this with the "left alone" media campaign and The pharmacy petition was deemed invalid a year or two ago based on it not being stapled to the proposal...(or something like that off the top of my head don't have time to look up the semantics). Why would the attorney supporting the petition come out and say this today or yesterday or yester yesterday when the petitioners basically already said they had enough signatures? -

Certainty? Do you not base things in reality? Willard Romney is going to be the nominee...no doubt...and is losing to Obama...if that is your "certainty" And that is of today....turn off Fox News. You will get true fair and balanced. sorry this is my last post about this...its forbidden on these forums...and I will follow the rules. -

You thought that about Obama last election too. -

If true, it is pretty sad. I will now just go sign any petition I don't like under a false name. -
UND Football: National Champs first year of eligibility.

Defunct? As of tomorrow UND will be known as the Fighting Sioux.

Your guess is as good as mine. Probably whatever they need to keep up with the times and keep the building "modern" over the years. Could possibly include an arena for the women down the road; like Minnesota and Wisconsin have built. If you click the link its a thirty year plan - forecast. .....replace the CRT tv's with modern day HD flat screens....small individual tv's for each urinal. Larger 8 sided scoreboard. I know Ralph wanted the Ralph to blend in with the surround buildings, but large glass facades seem to be "the thing....a bar and restaurant inside the arena, like the X....larger two story pro shop. The Alerus Center is about the same age as the Ralph....and the Alerus Center has recently had major renovations to its exterior.
-
You are correct. Maybe a new plan is being thought about?
-
Good to see the Ralph has hired Icon for a "Long Range Capital Improvement Plan" http://www.iconarchitects.com/projects/athletics/ralph-engelestad.html

-
The question is why? The betty is going to be a fine basketball arena for UND for a long time (larger bleachers on the ends could boost capacity to about 4,000)....and when UND hosts a larger venued team they can play in the Ralph...or the Alerus for that matter....I watched the Timberwolves play in the Alerus...it was a fine set up for basketball. Playing basketball in the old REA, if you ask me, is not a good long term solution for UND basketball.

The Ralph, Pepsi Center or the Qwest Center, make the most sense if it is not at the Xcel. Those places have the best chance of being successful in the NCHC.

Looks like the Giants not only talk the talk..... One more ring and Eli has as many as tom.

Just like the Top 15 Most Popular Colleges wouldn't mean much until you see the schools that beat UND on the list. Harvard, Yale, Stanford, MIT. No one can claim UND as a "safety school." Meanwhile it appears the U of Minnesota is. They accepted 17,000 but only 5,000 first year students, a whopping 30%, decided to go there. Compared to UND at over 60%.
