  1. Dear guy that doesn't keep his word, Its called The University of North Dakota, not GFU. You realize North Dakota is also in the western time zone also right? Guess there goes that argument. Like most of your arguments. They don't make much sense. You also realize Montana wanted UND in the Big Sky? U of M wanted to partner with UND. Montana is the biggest play in the Sky. The other presidents were willing to do anything to help keep them in the Sky: Montana said we want the Dakota school that gets the most national attention according to ESPN. Wish granted.
  2. Its one thing to be IAA (FCS) and playing teams from a lower division, But its another when half, three out of six, of your home games are against NAIA (or whatever they are at least were when the Sioux were D2).... Something is wrong. Complain all you want about how hard it is to schedule, blah, blah, blach, but if you ask me, Faison has failed us in this aspect. And people wonder why attendance has declined (and the ones who show up leave at halftime).
  3. I disagree. Yes the average Sioux football fan wants to see a winning team, but I also think they wanna watch a competitive game. I get offered football tickets all the time. I easily turned down Montana Western and Black Hills St. I went to Drake (FCS and it was the first game of the season.. I am sure there are hundreds like me. No thanks, I don't wanna watch a non competitive football game the Sioux (should) are going to easily win by forty. I don't think you give the quality of the opponent enough consideration when reflecting on attendance. I feel its two things: winning and opponent. If "we" suck no one shows regardless of opponent. Sioux are having a good season, the opponent become more critical. Lots of people are excited about next year. Because its an awesome home schedule. I don't even care if the Sioux lose. Part of the fun now adays to me seems when they might lose at home. Competitive fourth quarter games at the Alerus seem to far apart. One a season? The transition has been hard on Sioux football and could not have come at a worse time. The Sioux were riding high. New building, won a national championship, playing great (home) playoff football, and beating the Bison. All of a sudden it was all taken away. Nothing to play for and playing "no name NAIA schools." I think the average fan would much rather watch UMD, SCSU, Mankato, or any other regional D2 school that the Sioux fans are familiar with (versus University of Sioux Falls!) Here is a quick story of how the Sioux football team got a new fan. My mom, bless her heart is/was over fifty and works at UND. She rarely went to a game. Never really paid attention. For some reason she went to one of the home playoff games (2001 or 02). The atmosphere was so amazing she was hooked!! The next year she bought season tickets and even now still has season tickets and never misses a game. She even tries to listen on the radio when she can (away games). The thing that got her hooked is no longer there.
  4. Goes to a shootout if the game is tied after OT.
  5. Cable looks good. Like always.
  6. Horrible tripping call on MSU to give BC a power play.
  7. Michigan st vs BC is on tv. Everyones still working. Looks like the building is the emptiest you will ever see it for a college hockey game. Looks like a womens hockey game vs Quinipiac.
  8. I have seen it stated that it costs $350,000 to make the ice. That is why Minnesota vs a college team is waiting for the Wild to get awarded the Winter Classic to the NHL pays for the $350,000.
  9. It was outgrown before it was built. Hyslop games drew more than The Betty holds. In the fifty's Hyslops first game had an attendance of 7,000 people. The betty was built as a practice facility and not meant to be a long term goal for UND. (the rea wanted it for the world juniors). There is a reason basketball games have to be played in another venue. The betty isn't large enough.
  10. It's simple. UND gets more money to help attract the best instructors, to teach the states best students, at the states most prestigious university in law, aerospace, and medicine. It costs far less to hire a ND farmer to teach students agricultural studies.
  11. Can you not negative rep people anymore? I only see an arrow pointing up for positive reps.
  12. What's the added value of this upgrade for the users?
  13. Is this part of taking "SS to the next level?" ha PS. I wish the software had more "smilies."
  14. Massey ratings would have Minnesota the 9th or 10th best team in FCS right now. Bison numero uno.
  15. Don't play conservative! Don't take a knee with a minute left at the fifty yard line!
  16. Well to his defense a camera and a "guy in the truck" might mean a lot of money.
  17. Long Shot and late to the party but, does anyone got the NDSU/UND Volleyball game on VHS/DVD I can have/borrow/rent? I am saying I just wanna watch it somehow. Hard to be a Sioux fan and be cheap (no tv) at the same time.
  18. Great coaching and not a "lucky" play. Mussman you listening? I will admit I am/was jealous of the Bison. Props. Not sure why our society teaches us to not like our neighbors (rivals). With that said, I was cheering for the Gophers.
  19. Odd. My official announcement. I will go to this school unless this school wants me. Props for being honest though. Welcome aboard. Hope Iowa doesn't offer.
  20. Hopefully he gets better and has a full recovery. Two strokes so close together can't be good for him. He might just have to walk away which would be a shame for him considering he is getting toward the top of the football coaching ladder: from High School to Southern Illinois, Northern Illiois, and now the Gophers.
  21. Already did back in the day. You get a politician answer.
  22. It's odd you are trying to compare the FBS teams UND played and the FBS teams NDSU played. Is the correct answer: Not any worse than UND?
  23. Copied from Gopherpucklive: Old Trophy: New Trophy:
  24. That's crazy. Yeah part of the fun of college hockey is the "Friday/Saturday night weekend relaxation mode."
