Star doesn't even live near North Dakota. He lives in the South somewhere, like North Carolina. Probably the only thing Star and Rob have in common is they both wanted to expose "the truth" and expend ever chance to save the nickname. SayAnything primary topics are Republican politics and small government. I think he probably got tired of this site, unfortunately, and is taking a "breather." Like PCM did.

"North Dakota" is the Sioux State/flickertail/peace garden state/roughrider state. For me it's simple...keep going down the line....Why wouldn't UND become the Roughriders? UND has already shown a history of picking their nicknames from this list. Who cares if a local high school has the same nickname. There are already teams and high schools that share the name...Ames HS Little Cyclones. And others someone here already posted.

Those are the official school color...they are not the official athletic colors of UND.

The Summit might be improving, but it's basically Great West Conference 2.0 ever school in the conference wants out. Isn't another team leaving? Besides the one that recently dropped down to D3 from the Summit.

Apply St just completed a study that says they should move to FBS. James Madison's AD has stated they move to FBS in 18-24 months "very likely." These are the teams currently moving up: UTSA Mass South Alabama Texas State FCS already doesn't look like it did 10 years ago. Let's finally lead and not follow.

Isn't this sort of an odd statement? Anything in North Dakota is pretty irrelevant. There are ten people in the state per square mile. Its one big wide open space.

The Sioux Bison game will be the biggest thing for the people of the state, and the few alumni/fans around the country. About 400,000 people max. If you talking a sports game held in North Dakota that had the most viewership/international exposure, it was the Canada vs Russia hockey game.

UNI had to eliminate baseball because of budget cuts, I wonder how long baseball will last at UND. With the Division I, expenses are increasing dramastically from D2, but Revenue seems to be about the same. I think its only a matter of time before UND finds itself needing to reduce expenses.
