I'd rather not play Minnesota. It's an unhealthy rivalry. UND needs to keep focusing on getting itself better for tournament time and not get ingrained with beating a rival.

Most college hockey arenas don't have full attendance. Nothing new.

Duluth reminds me of UND the past years...constantly out shoot your opponent to lose by two goals.

How does a school cut $25 Million in expenses in one year is a good question. That's a lot of money. $25 million in cuts they will need to do divide that by the number of students full time it comes out to: $2,400 per student. Or in other words each full time* student would need to pay an additional $2,400 per year for the University to continue to operate the way it was this (or last) year. *or $1,600 each for full and part time students.

A few year ago Wisconsin would poke fun at Minnesotans academics. Their response was "you get what you put in."

That's not the problem either. The Ralph has tons of businesses that own multiple seats in the arena which is expected when the arena holds 11,500 in a 60,000 town. The difference is they didn't buy enough tickets at those businesses, the demand for who wants to use them that week is great (and we're not talking just three or four tickets). Employees who usually want to go to a hockey games are also "fans" at UND. And a nice gesture to its employees for those who might not be able to normally afford it. Gophers problem is they don't play UND anymore so nobody wants to go: "Fan" or "Business."
