Even Bemidji St, despite not being DI as long as Mankato has, have been to a Frozen Four. I wouldn't be surprised to see Arizona St. get there before Mankato, especially if both join the NCHC.
-
At least Arizona State and Mankato will have one thing in common when joining: 0 NCAA Tournament Wins.
-
Hmmmm....
-
I'm sorta enjoying this current tight lil band of hockey brothers at 8 too. Adding anyone waters down as the best are already in the conference.
-
That President probably isn't very happy with Brad right about now.
-
You know you don't have to take everything literally? He's implying those to teams might not be happy with the addition of Mankato and more than likely would have liked to have seen Bowling Green but got outvoted. Which in the future could lead to those two looking for other options with BG to see what is out there.
-
UND left to anchor another conference. Mankato is not. Hastings leaves....Mankato tanks back to its old wcha ways....Bemidji hires a new coach...keeps rising....multiple trips to the ncaa tournament and not becoming the first overall #1 seed to lose in the opening round because that belongs to Mankato....buyers remorse? Mankato is easy road trip for you but Bemidji is easier for all the und fans in gf.
-
Well we know it's not officially official. Otherwise they'd have said it was.
-
Have to believe Mankato to the NCHC is a done deal. It just got leaked sooner than the official announcement thanks to Brads info request.
-
You want a school who's #1 sport is hockey. Has a new arena. Been to the Frozen Four recently. And Bemidji State is the closest team for UND to travel too..so..they should be equal to Mankato in UND fans eyes.
-
Means nothing. Rather play Montana than Morningside. Rather play ASU over Mankato State. Kato state doesn't get extra points because they've played UND in the past. Some of the reasons Minnesota was a big rivalry to UND applies to Arizona State.
-
....just because you know them from before. Hard to say you'd rather play a team that has never played ones favorite team. ASU will help increase the exposure for the NCHC 10x than Mankato would.
-
And likely they'll be going after "reserve" money that only the legislation can access.
-
Another league UND wanted to get out of to align more with like minded schools.
-
Minnesota State Mankato needs to stay and help anchor, stabalize, and build a strong WCHA. The NCHC needs to keep spots open for future hockey programs.
-
Perhaps the delay in announcing the addition of ASU. But I'd rather admit Bowling Green.

Oh the things people will remember years later. -
Sounds like Grand Forks could be voting on a 3/4 cent sales tax to pay for a new water treatment plant. Then a sales tax increase to pay for a new library. Grand Forks could be pushing highest rate in ND around or at 8%. Then property tax mill rates will be increasing by 5%....on top of that new higher appraised property value :).

Best Burger according to Fargo Monthly is the Sickies Burger. Also home of the glazed donut burger.

To move to the top just write: "I protested with Black Lives Matter."

Though difficult one use to be able to attempt to turn left onto Columbia Road. Which isn't the case anymore with the divider installed a few years ago forcing people wanting to go left through Hugos area or going to the right and trying to find a spot to turn around.
-
It's a good place, but in Fargo it's in a old hooters and is more a sports bar. Hard to imagine it in such a small building. Going with a JL Beers style I guess.
-
Was just surprised because I hadn't heard anything about it and then driving by was blown away at the size.

I see Minnkota Power is building a massive complex west of the interstate, fits in nice with the new ag country credit union.
