  1. Too bad that interlocking ND on the shoulders had to go, especially after rebranding that not long ago to stand out more from Notre Dame.
  2. I didn't like it....started to grow on me....and now back to not liking it....need a stand alone logo....very dislike the ND in the background.
  3. Wouldn't have made more sense to put "UND" behind the hawk? Ya know for University. Not its leaves people wondering what letter is behind there? O P B ? Idk.
  4. Everyone on Facebook: "That's not the "Fighting Hawk" logo I voted for.
  5. Some are wondering if this is a "transitional" logo. Other thoughts are too rectangle...lots of white space if they put it center ice at the Ralph.
  6. How do they put this on a green shirt or football helmet?
  7. So that company that came here and did mock ups for funsie did a better job.
  8. So not only lose the Fighting Sioux but also the logo I have always cheered for on the UND football helmets....FML! That was the one saving grace in all this.
  9. Oh yeah. Semantics. People want the football team to be traditional and still use interlocking.
  10. I had low expectations and I don't think they were met. So now we don't have "just a logo" anymore but will always be accompanies by "ND". That's a fail. It'll look good on the football helmet but that hockey jersey was fugly.
  11. So this news conference is premium content and I can't watch ot on mobile?
  12. I see they are also unveiling a new font script for "North Dakota" too.
  13. If you had a TV show about a college sports team from the midwest and wanted to keep it as generic and safe as possible you could nickname it Fighting Hawks.....Screaming Eagles.
  14. It'll be interesting to see what other stations pick them up...I wonder if it'll be the same ones? I know there's a map on the und athletics page that's a handy guide.
  15. ....and are usually drafted and not necessarily their first choice...
  16. I'm would have to assume just like before it is available statewide and not just the one station for the entire state. It's the "base station" and affiliates pick it up across the entire state.
  17. I don't know what cell phone reception is like in western ND. But lakes country, deep in state park campgrounds, and on the family farm I'm don't think I've ever lost LTE service. My car isn't blue tooth enabled but I bought a Bluetooth device that plugs into the aux port and wireless connects to my phone allowing my phone to play wirelessly through the cars speakers. It's how I've listen to UND sports whenever driving (and GF talk radio).
  18. I believe some here have said Toews donated money toward the REA locker room renovations.
