Let me dumb it down. Blue Chippers are "A" rated players. Not all first rounders are "A" rated, but no second rounders are "A" rated. That isn't to say "B" and "C" rated players can't have successful college and pro careers. (And "A" rated players aren't a guarantee either.)

Not many second and third rounders have immediate impacts at UND.

Sounds a lot like when Parise, Toews, and Brock came to UND.

Rumor has it, UND is going to take another dorm offline this summer because of lack of on campus students. If you haven't driven by NDSU's new $40 million dorm that is currently under construction, it's quite the massive building.

The Alerus naming rights end in 2021. Unlikely to see the Fighting Hawk logo at midfield before that. Even after 2021, the event center might think it too valuable a space to give away to UND, and end up selling it again as part of the naming rights.

Who's paying to put MVFC logos on the Alerus turf?

What's with Neighbors Bar? Friday and Saturday night. Hockey in town. Should be some of the best nights of the year. Only two people ever in that bar (Massive glass exterior makes that easy to see). Despite 100's of college students within easy stumbling distance. You have to try to be that bad.

It's not the age of the turf that keeps the Fighting Hawks logo from the midfield. They can paint that anytime they want (Big Sky logos are going bye bye.) It's that they sold the name at midfield to the highest bidder. When UND runs the Betty, they'll probably have LM Glasfiber as the center logo.

Or they can paint it on tomorrow if they want.

Maybe Kennedy can ask Mrs. Engelstad for a donation to paint the Fighting Hawks logo on the Alerus Center turf.

Kennedy should threaten to sue and pull the team from the Alerus.

When it comes to branding, I'd like to see more than zero Fighting Hawks logos on the Alerus turf.

Two Fighting Hawks logos on the basketball court isn't enough to help UND on their rebranding efforts! I demand more!
