Wasn't singling you out at all. I think the frustration stemming from the (lack of) success of the football and the hoops teams is seeping into the hockey fanbase, since so many people are fans of all the teams. I was also at UND when the hockey team was brutal in the early 90's and remember some of the great individual players those teams had. I know no one wants to compare to the past few years with Hakstol, as this year is totally different, but in past years UND's teams showed NOTHING in the first half. It can be argued that prior to injuries this was shaping into a pretty decent team. In past years there have also been injuries/issues and others have stepped up. Since Genoway was injured, Fienhage has stepped in admirely, but he's not anywhere near the same player as Chay obviously. The coaching staff recruits players that know their roles and have had a great history of developing the TEAM as the season progressed. I don't think there has been any indication that this can't happen again. I sure hope it does and I'm choosing to remain optimistic that it will.

What's with all the negativity lately on here? Personally, I hope that the Sioux win every game they play and am disappointed if they don't. I'd rather it be that way then expect them to lose and be excited when they win.

I believe he is employed by the REA, as is Erik Fabian. The NCAA doesn't allow an infinite # of volunteer coaches, and Koberinski is still one of those, so would guess that he is NOT involved in the Sioux program. There may be some players on the team that pay to take part in the Hockey Academy's programs, though. I guess I don't have an answer to your question...

Youth Hockey games & jamboree this weekend, so can't make the Sioux games. I have two seats on the aisle in 106 for sale. Sioux attack twice and seats look right down the goal line. Why do you want Jones fired? Would think you'd want Jones to remain as the Sioux coach for as long as possible, beings you're a Bison fan and all.

One being a relatively "young" person in his mid to late 20s. (I'm assuming here that him posting about hanging out with current athletes at NDSU is true.) The other is nearly 60. I can't imagine my dad taking the time to even turn on a computer, let alone disparrage UND nearly every waking hour.

Would think he'll get a job at a BCS school in a heck of a hurry. TT saves $800,000 by firing him today and tomorrow. After hearing of/seeing some of the emails from his coaching staff, the James family has blown what happened way out of proportion. A good number of players came forward in support of Leach as well. Seems that TT admin has been looking for a reason to get rid of him for a while, which makes one wonder why there was a HUGE contract extension brought to Leach just last year. TT will not be better for this.

Listened to that for the first time... parts of it reminded me of the Wyld Stallyns of Bill and Ted's Great Adventure fame. I mean that in a good way, btw. Agreed on someone in their 20's/30's dying of "natural causes" is an incorrect description. That is no way near natural.

There have been a couple of inferences of Robbie Bina and "lawsuit" thrown about lately in here. I sure don't remember hearing of such a thing from when the incident happened. Is this something that was actually close to happening?

I agree. I find it odd someone would even suggest it as a possibility.

Wasn't there a past coach at UND that was an assistant in the CFL for a time before becoming UND's head coach? Is it wishful thinking that I see a pattern here?

Maybe they could mothball it, winterize it, and only have it open for UND football games, charging $200 per ticket (If that's enough???) so they could break even at least on those days. Short of that, what are some real solutions? Anyone? Is this thing on??

Shows what you know about hockey right there. You can get seats for the amount you want if you talk nice to mommy and daddy. Lap seats are $5. If this was a team that played together for an entire season and played a college schedule, they would likely be favored in every game. It isn't the U-18 team. It is the U-20 team that will be playing in the World Junior Championships later this month. These are WORLD CLASS hockey players coming in here. A good number of them will get more than a cup of coffee in the NHL.

That's classic stuff for anyone, let alone a guy in his late 40's/50's who works for the state of Minnesota. My advice: Seek professional help.

"Princeton" offense or not... who really cares at this point? Maybe losing to Mayville State will get some people to wake the f' up. Its going to be a major miracle to put a product on the floor that makes people outside of Grand Forks, or maybe even in Grand Forks, show up to watch. Refresh the memory time... Was Ben Jacobson still assisting Mac at UNI when Jones was named head coach? Or did Mac to ISU happen before that?

I read this as an inference to the Bochenski situation.
