So, Bemidji State was the first seed?
-
He's certainly talented. Not as talented as the last forward that was here two years (Toews), but he'll fight for a spot and contribute. Another factor is that he was not disgruntled when he left and hasn't burned any bridges. If he was a guy the remaining guys hated, there wouldn't be a question. It's been done before, it will be done again. If they feel Michael can come in and help the team win games, he'll be in Grand Forks with the Sioux. RW77 mentioned one that took a year off in the middle of career... another was Kevin McKinnon (3 years after break) As for Forney ending up somewhere else, don't count on that. The way I understand things, he'll only have 1 year of eligibility anywhere else because he did not take any junior college classes while playing in Green Bay. Please correct me if I am wrong on that. (I'm sure someone will) He would likely then join Kozek in the Thrashers system.

Plus, maybe he's actually better than the others listed. I doubt he'd sign with a team and then settle for a spot in the ECHL or IHL because the team has other goalies in their system. Pretty sure that is the case with every single person that signs a contract or gets a tryout. They have to beat someone out.

I'm in the same boat. It sucks. What are you doing in Gillette, now? Thought it was booming? I worked out there for a bit from 95 to 97 with the BNSF. Good times.

Here's a little gem piece from the KX network in western ND on the issue: http://www.kxmc.com/News/355090.asp From the article: You can't make this stuff up.

Except he wouldn't put his name to it.

Think there maybe needs to be some re-evaluating on how this can happen to the program again.

Wow. That's almost a "Holy Cross"-caliber upset.

I remember that regional as well. If you didn't have any scruples, could have just walked right by the 85 year old ticket men and gone up the escalator. We had already given $20 to a man in a nice leather Gopher jacket for a pair of tickets to watch the Sioux.

Bowling Green dropped by Wyoming... Mr. Faison??

http://www.slingmedia.com/go/slingbox http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slingbox I think it was the 2007 hockey regional where some friends of mine used one. Had it set up in Grand Forks because we didn't get the broadcast here and picked it up on the laptop and hooked that to the flat screen tv. Worked real well. This was on a non-T1 line, so fuzzy picture at times. Like the linked video says, as with everything internet related, the faster the speed, the better the quality. As for the Tolna Legion team, I am not sure they even had a team last year. Thought I heard that they had a couple kids actually go to Cooper and play. Ironic, isn't it?

Looks like the NCAA saved face by placing NDSU there. Attendance would have been pretty dreadful had they not done that.
-
key words of your post are bolded. Haven't watched a lot of hockey, eh? I think they even pull the goalie once in a while in Canada.

"Oohhhh, would that not have been a hot dagger."

Bad call by Anderson. How can it be interference if Gregoire is carrying the puck? Edit... I get it now. One for each 4X4 hockey.
-
In this PP funk the past few weeks that has been the norm. Lots of trying for the perfect "cute" pass. Just shoot the damn puck!
-
Pretty sure he's been back out there...
-
Actually Todd Anderson has made the last two penalty calls on the Sioux.

Probably never would have needed Tubby if those two were at Minnesota. Might have seen Monson still there. We may have missed the end of the Bison game on CBS, but this live checking into other games has been awesome. Lots of great endings so far today. Utah State and Marquette is going to be the next great ending. Two points with 23 seconds left.

Didn't get any takers. But I did find the game on webcast. DP wins 65-52. Heck of a game. Tale of two halves or whatever other cliches you would like to use.

Just saw a scroll watching the state B that an agreement has been made and KXJB will return to DirecTV's lineup as of 8:00 Friday morning.
