Every year this happens. I call our cable company and they always blame someone at UND for not turning on the feed. No idea if it is true or not, but this is at least the 4th straight year for the first game(s) to be screwed up. I doubt anyone is monitoring this site from UND that can make sure everything is done on their end, either.

Can't duplicate 11,000 people in the arena on a 60+ degree day very easily so they probably don't have much to compare to thus far. Today should be a good test for the system.

That, and the Gophers apparently not wanting him were deciding factors.

A couple questions for Mr. Kiefer: Why were all the business names removed from the "members" area of the website set up for this alleged campaign?Is the reference to Tom Clifford still there?Do you use his name (former distinguished UND President Tom Clifford) to get the "UND vote"? Or did you truly have a conversation with him concerning this exact proposal you are setting forth and had his blessing on the matter?

Maybe the announcement will be that negotiations dealing with the process of removing the nickname and logo from the REA have reached an impasse. UND will no longer have a relationship with REA as the host of the UND hockey team and the University has secured funding for a new arena to be built in the footprint of "old" REA that will house the hockey programs. This new arena will be part of a complex that will include an open air football stadium, a multi-purpose all season indoor practice facility, as well as an office complex that will house UND athletics offices that are currently in the Hyslop Sports Center. The present REA will follow this announcement by UND with a press conference of their own setting forth the details of major Junior Canadian hockey coming to their arena in the form of the North Dakota Fighting Sioux, who will be the newest team in the Western Hockey League. This is all just wild speculation of course.

Someone wants to get their tickets paid for right away looks like. Maybe the wifey found out he spent $400 per season ticket that coincidentally works out to be a total of $1600... hmmmm.....

I have no idea in this situation, but there has been an increase lately in the numbers of UND alums and/or student athletes that are now in the Phoenix area that are teaching and coaching. Maybe their high school coach has UND ties??

Though not exactly a former player for the Sioux, he would have been if not for some unfortunate luck/timing of injuries, Layne Sedevie is the new head coach of the Bismarck Bobcats. He replaces Byron Pool, who resigned to take the assistant coach position with the Fargo Force that was vacated by former Sioux Chad Johnson.

Fargo Force goalie Ryan Massa scored a goal in tonight's playoff game. This kid has been on fire in the nets down the stretch this season. What are his college prospects as a 20 yo? I had thought I heard something about major juniors with him, but can't find anything validating that.

You have to take into consideration that those three are either 2 or 3 years older than St. Clair, and Chase Grant will turn 21 in August. St. Clair is going to see at least another year in the USHL, if not two. That said, MSU-Mankato does look to have a good number of skilled kids coming in.
