In my opinion, that is a HUGE factor. Back in the successful DII days, one of the teams (men or women) was going to be entertaining to watch on any given night. And sometimes they both were. There were times that people came early for the women's game, then left early during the men's. Or they might come half way through a women's game and stay for the whole men's.

You don't get it. Can't believe I have to explain it to you. Coach Smith was at UNC for 21 years before he won his first "natty". Second in year 32. Tar Heel fans "deserved" a title before then.

People should realize by now that the UND staff is communicating with these recruits on a regular basis. The dialog is there to let these guys know what they need to work on to fulfill the envisioned role the coaches see for them at North Dakota. That can mean a number of things, and isn't necessarily stats driven. If the player isn't progressing as expected, or isn't willing to make the necessary adjustments, that's where we (or more likely the coaching staff) can "worry". UND hasn't recruited the stats sheet ever as far as I can tell.

Does the ridiculousness regarding UND recruits flying in/out of Fargo extend to UND fans as well? Or would that be allowed by operation forensic accountants at bisonation? I'm assuming the team would not be flying coach and would go direct from GF no matter the destination.

A press release to clarify the rule... mention in the press release of the "most recent situation"... a contract extension for the head coach... and not a keep it quiet and fight to keep the player here approach... Yeah, I think he's going to be across the field when EWU faces the Ducks to open next season.
