Zach seems to be the ONLY "superstar" in the WCHA that needs to get hurt in order to draw a penalty. You don't see that with Vanek. You don't see that with Sterling. You don't see that with Hendricks. Maybe it is because half of the crowd stands up and screams at the ref each time Zach gets assaulted and the ref likes all the attention. Who knows?

Thanks for the explanation. I still see it as odd, though, because there is absolutely no way NDSU is going to play 100 players. UND has duplicate #'s on the roster as well, but the duplicates are usually seniors and true freshmen that are red-shirting. It still has to drive the statisticians nutso.

Regarding NDSU, anyone else noticed that they have two guys wearing the #1 today? The kicker (Vartanian) and Allen Burrell. What gives? Anyone?
