Jamie Glick update. Sounds like a devastating injury. I know we were listening on the radio and you could hear her scream immediately. Swyg and 'what's his name' went straight to a break without comment. Hopefully she can come back and contribute again to the Sioux at some point.

I don't know if I would go that far. The Sioux certainly had their chance to get to today's game. They didn't get it done. Denver is definitely playing like they are perfectly satisfied with "getting there". Not even close to the same team that played the Sioux in Colorado Springs.

Talk about penalty filled. Hache is calling this game like it is game ONE of the conference season and he is trying to set a tone for the year to come. Calling it as "close" as he has is pretty pathetic for a National Semifinal game. Someone needs to plant a size 12 up his crapper and let him know that he isn't the show today. Connor James is playing and hasn't been much of a factor. He did receive a penalty for pulling down Lessard. Reichmuth and Berkhoel have played well considering all the power play time. Not a whole lot of 5x5.

O'Leary was a walk-on. He knew what he was in for from the beginning. As jloos said in the Beaverson thread, "...I'm sure there is more to the story." O'Leary's situation is NOT similar to Beaverson, or Olson for that matter. A trend? Hardly. That new arena did wonders for CB and the Sioux in 1997 and 2000, didn't it.

A couple of former Sioux on theroster of the Wichita Thunder, including Tyler Palmiscno. EGF's Nate Metcalf (Minnesota State Mankato) is on it as well. Both of these guys are filling "amateur" spots, whatever that means. Hopefully they play well enough to earn a "paying" roster spot for next year.

Canady? The same Canady that was named to the All-WCHA Academic Team? And why shouldn't he? Should he do what is best for you? Or me? Or who? Shouldn't putting the best possible team on the ice he can be his priority? He's certainly allowed some discretion on that point. Your last point is complete bunk. So why, then, did Josh sign with, and enroll at, Minnesota, only to leave LATE for the Portland Winterhawks? Did Blais make him do that as well?

Played high school hockey in Roseau. Went to the USHL and played first at Omaha, then for the FM Ice Sharks. Was recruited by, and committed to, UND while at Omaha. Didn't seem to develop as quickly as intended and was released of his committment. Then was recruited by Minnesota, committing there as well. Never attended U of M, instead opting for the Portland Winterhawks of the WHL (Canadian Major Junior).

I see that Aliou Kane is transferring somewhere from the U of M. Just wondering if UND is a possibility as it seemed he was talked up a little bit coming into college initially. He, of course, would be able to play immediately at a D-II school. Or maybe he just isn't worth a crap and Monson "asked" him if he wanted to transfer?

Jonathan Toews was the #1 overall pick in the 2003 WHL Bantam Draft by the Tri-City Americans. It would be very surprising to see a kid from Canada that is the #1 overall pick in the WHL draft forego that opportunity and play US college hockey. That said, if he's going to play college hockey, it might as well be for North Dakota.

After Blais is fired, maybe Tim will go broadcast the games for the team CB is hired by. For what it is worth, Hennessy worked for KCNN when Clear Channel won the rights to the broadcasts the last time they were up, as did Scott Swygman. He'll call the Sioux games until he doesn't want to anymore.

Thought it would be fitting to click here and have a listen while reading Taz Boy's post. Especially after seeing the mood in this forum the past couple days. It's not about one person, people. It's about the program. Let's lighten up a bit. October will be here soon enough.

HC just might need 13 hours of practice for this one. That still might not be enough. Just couldn't pass this opportunity up to give a little grief. I certainly don't think the Sioux would overlook HC. Not after last season.
