I'm trying to come up with a nickname related to Orion the Hunter. That's the constellation that appears in in mid-August, dominates the fall and winter and spring, but is out of sight by late April, until the following August. They put Orion into the ship's patch for the USS NORTH DAKOTA.

I'd call Mark Cuban honest. PS - Mark, you can't solve it until you can solve the mysteries of the human heart and mind.

Still nothing dismantling this posit.

No, that Senator was from West Virginia.

Evil spells? I thought when they renamed them Wizards the urine smell in DC back alleys would increase.

Viva Las Vegas! -
I fully expect to see a resolution in this Congress, soon, that includes the phrase, "Because Brawndo's got electrolytes." If you don't get the reference, Google it.

Summer hockey thoughts.... chances of a regional in Sioux Falls?

Why not just have UND host at Target? -
Yup. That undercut his own (pretty good and logical at the time) story.

Actually, he should be representing the good People of Steele County. They have brought murder charges against a Finley resident in the death of her husband. Signed, A guy who can drive to Finley without a map or GPS.

I'm sad. I put this out there hoping it would be ripped to shreds; but, a page and a half later and it still seems to stand on it's own merit.
-
No, that's brutally honest assessment.

Gene Taylor would be much more credible in all of this save for: - Taylor proposed a plan, Faison accepted, Taylor backed out of his own offer <-- some would say Taylor reneged on a handshake agreement; poor form in North Dakota - the home and home he's since scheduled with Weber State <-- don't even try to tell me that a home Weber State game is more valuable than a home UND game to NDSU; and the return game vs UND would be more cost effective (bus, no flight) for NDSU as well; so much for the 'economic circumstances' argument posed Those two pesky details hurt Taylor's credibility. Taylor would be better served to just stand up and say he'll never schedule UND under his watch.

Dare I say ... because ... here's why: A lot of energy and focus is spent on that game. And with that comes fatigue and injury as well.
-
That spot rotates among the colleges of the NDUS. It's NDSU's spot in the rotation. And I do believe the student member is a non-voting member of the board.

Bold portion added for clarity (and jab factor, ... sorry CAS old chum).

I'd say you have a shot at left out.

Oh. That thing ...

Let me translate what Scott just said for the rest of you: "I'd love to retire on my own private island, with Bill Gates as my cabana boy and Warren Buffet as my bartender, on my portion of the settlement of that one."

Not moving the goalposts, giving context to the information presented. I never denied NDSU's ranking; I pointed out what it means. NDSU is applying for research funds from a larger pool than UND can. That NDSU would spend more on research, as it can draw from a larger funds pool, would seem a reasonably logical outcome.

Source: http://ext.wsu.edu/documents/landgrant.pdf How's that.
-
Can we go back to the fundamentals of this: Taylor proposed a home and home. Faison agreed to Taylor's terms. Taylor bailed on his own proposal. Poor form.
-
... when measured by spending. What you're neglecting to mention is that NDSU, as a Merrill land grant university, can apply for many research grants that UND, not a land grant, can not apply for. So NDSU has access to more research dollars to spend to achieve the ranking you point out. Drop out the land grant research dollars and do the comparison and it gets a little more interesting.

I'm gettin' dizzy from the new spin ...

So now the Habs top goalie is Peter Budaj? It was good while it lasted Habs fans. What are the rules this time of year regarding roster moves?
