  1. Palendech's HS QB numbers say "safety" to me.
  2. Can we get the PA guy to play "Send In The Clowns" when St. Clown State steps onto the ice?
  3. How about "Legends" and "Leaders". No. Wait. Those names are terrible for trophies too.
  4. Dial back the namecalling. Signed, The Management

    Soooo

There's a recent June vote that says otherwise.
  6. For those of you who think your are smarter than the NCAA ... uh, who's missing a nickname and who's won the court battles? Now, if you are a booster (and odds are if you're reading this you are) here's some base information from UND: http://www.undsports.com//ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=13500&ATCLID=3761808
  7. I always smirk when Katie Hale interviews Dave Hakstol: I wonder how Katie feels about interviewing her older sister's husband. Of course, it would've been great if Tim O'Keefe would've had Kober's spot. Then when O'Keefe would throw it to Hale for the Hakstol interview it'd be dad throwing it to daughter to interview son-in-law. If all that didn't make sense to you, buy a program.
  8. I believe a recruit is coming when I see them on the playing surface in a North Dakota jersey.
  9. The vessel to do that should've been the WAC (when it was down to Idaho, NMSU, DU, Seattle U). The autobids would've been in place already. Instead the WAC decided to become the island of misfits (Grand Canyon, Utah Valley, etc.).
  10. He should've used the opportunity to advertise the highlights of UND's home schedule next year: http://wiki.siouxsports.com/doku.php/football/2013_schedule We should've been reading something like this: Faison said, "Our home schedule for next season is magnificent and our overall strength of schedule doesn't need improvement. I'll entertain thoughts of a game in Fargo on September 21 against NDSU, but I'm not sure I want the team traveling between our home games against Montana and Montana State, especially after having played South Dakota State before Montana."
  11. Yes, we know it was a WCHA series with WCHA officials.
  12. Wow, just wow. Imagine this ... "The sooner NDSU minimizes what football is, the sooner y'all get some attendance at other sports." You can keep your recipes for "golden goose".
  13. Oh, they aren't saying it yet, but a brother-against-brother coaching matchup in the Super Bowl would have them just giddy.
  14. Does Bauer make anything for an all-wheel drive? How about CCM?
  15. By popular demand ... {click} ... (That was the sound of the lights going out on this one.)
  16. ... today. The ND Secretary of State and ND Attorney General are looking to have the crime redefined as a C felony during this legislative session.
  17. A little more than a decade ago UND was on top in DII WBB, DII FB, and DI MHockey. Things always change and always will. Enjoy when you're on top while you are.
  18. This reminds me of an old joke: A guy goes into a bar and offers a woman sitting at the bar $10,000,000.00 to have sex with him. She thinks for a second and says, "Yes." So, the guy then offers her just $25 to have sex with him. She tells him, "Do you think I am a whore, someone with no morals?" to which he replies, "Well, we'd established that already so I figured I'd try to renegotiate the price." At what price.
  19. I stand by my statement: GSU was the closest to NDSU of late, and it was in Fargo. Put it on a neutral field and add in the GSU revenge factor and I'll take GSU.
  20. Honestly, neutral site, right now, I'd take Georgia Southern over NDSU. Why? They were very close on NDSU's field, and then there's the revenge factor.
  21. I've always wondered why southern teams seem to struggle with FG kickers, and it's not just at the FCS level as even some SEC teams seem to struggle with it.
  22. No. If the the GSU receiver that got by Williams (with under two minutes to play) hadn't gone to ground to make the long catch it would've gone the other way. If he'd have just broken stride and made the catch on his feet he was more than likely gone for the six. Woulda, Coulda, Shoulda ...
  23. I hate the shoot-out win counting the same as an OT win and I hate 4x4 so when I'm in charge OT is played for 5 minutes (first goal wins) and ... all games are 5 point games as follows: 5 points for a regulation win 4 points for an OT win 3 points for a shoot-out win 2 points for a shoot-out loss 1 point for an OT loss 0 points for a regulation loss This way you are guaranteed a winner (shoot-out) but don't change the rules of the game (no 4x4). Plus, there are no "extra point" games in my 5 point system, all games are equal. I think it's wrong now that some games are "2 points" (winner in regulation, no point to loser) and other are "3 points" (winner in OT, but team that forced OT gets a point). The current system (2 or 3 point games) seems like an opportunity to "play the system" and give an opponent a point (to harm a rival in a different division) while you still get your two for the win.
  24. Call San Fran, offer them Toby G and your second round pick (and a provisional) for Alex Smith. Or, call Seattle, offer them Toby G and your third round pick (and a provisional) for Matt Flynn.
  25. Scroll through and you'll see some familiar DIII names: http://masseyratings.com/rate.php?lg=ch&yr=2013&sub=11620 Someone else already answered the DII question.
