    Oh Daniel, all athletic departments (save for the top 20 or so of FBS) are heavily subsidized (be it by students, or taxpayers). I'm not saying it's right, but just reminding you that every athletics department is a glass house. (Here's a mirror. Use it.)

    NCAA regionalized playoffs maybe? Anyone paying attention knew the NSIC winner would've finished maybe fourth in the NCC. Why pay to watch that hot mess?

    His real beef come through in bold. The inmates think they deserve to run the asylum, and they did under Kelley. Schafer did what needed to be done and even Whitehead begrudgingly admits that. But the sacred cow that is athletics is at ALL American universities. Nothing unique at UND there.

    What UND rolled out: - three colors - forward action (the feathers infer motion, admittedly not as much as the tiger) - so no outline (want to bet if what hits shelves in August has an outline?) There's only one thing that Ed could've rolled out that wouldn't have been wrong; and it would've been wrong.

    Now that Greene is not bought out and presumably staying an LAK, what'll the Kings do about the unhappiness of former captain Dustin Brown? http://sports.yahoo.com/news/la-kings-dustin-brown-unhappy-loss-captains-c-205808515--nhl.html I wonder if LAK might not try to package up Brown and ___?___ to get a little younger.

    Cullen only made $800k with PIT last year and he had a Cup already (from CAR). If Greene is bought out (now in question) someone might get him at a discount. So I'd say $2 million for the pair (2 Cups per!) might be enough. But I could see neither wanting EDM.

    I love this whole "dove" thing. Doves have circular eyes and pointed beaks. I haven't seen too many doves with hooked beaks and vectored eyes.

    What would be the smartest thing EDM could do with $2 million from that? Sign Matt Cullen and Matt Greene. Get some maturity (and PK) into that room to help McDavid mature into a leader.

    Mentioned in the "former players" thread, but Matt Greene was bought out by the LAK. I'm thinking Columbus would be a good landing spot for him.
