They seem nice ... http://kfgo.com/news/articles/2016/sep/15/online-threats-made-to-law-enforcement-others-associated-with-pipeline/ On a scale of "one to stupid" making threats against the POTUS is full "nailed it". KFGO also said this morning that the locals don't feel safe. They wouldn't speak to KFGO News on the record, but a couple local farmers have stated that they are "armed" all the time now and they never used to be and they worry about the safety of their kids (especially going to and from school).

Is that all? In know folks that attended seven of the Ugly Eight*. (Not sure I know anyone eight for eight.) *Albany, Columbus, Milwaukee, St. Louis, Denver, St. Paul, Philadelphia, Boston -
I worry for Mr. Wentz because the Philly offensive line let Cleveland's defense get four nasty shots on him. Imagine what a better pass rush may bring.

Random factoid, surely nothing to do with the pictures above: In the NFL, hair that extends outside the helmet is considered a uniform extension and is allowable to be grabbed to make a tackle. Not sure about the NCAA rules. (It was legal to grab in 2013.)

And at Homecoming people will complain about "changing school colors" because they won't be in green. Any takers?

But it was pretty weak sauce last night. You could tell the crew (Levy and Melrose) were in Bristol and not Verizon in DC.

Can you really claim that for prong three (interests and abilities)? I mean, I don't know of any highly scientific polling done on to a broad campus audience recently (unlike what is surely done with great diligence by folks that use prong three elsewhere).- 2,150 replies

"Substantially proportionate" does not mean exact numbers match. It means as close as you can reasonably estimate year to year undergraduate enrollment fluctuations. But, to your point, moving the fraction of athletic opportunities away from the fraction of men on campus is good for a question.- 2,150 replies

Sticking all of the $2.3 million expense for use of the REA facilities under just MIH when WIH, MBB, WBB, WVB, and WSoc all use the facility (admittedly to varying degrees) is a gross misrepresentation of reality. I'm not sure that would pass muster with any GAAP audit.- 2,150 replies

I don't think Ms. Erle knows either. If all the costs of REA are associated to MIH, there are no costs associated to MBB, WIH, WBB, WVB, and WSoc. That adds big dollars to the mens side of the balance sheet and nothing to the womens side (who are getting all the benefits with no cost). So yes, as she says, "It certainly doesn't do us any favors in gender equality." But I don't believe she understands what she just said. She thinks it's a way to force more dollars onto the womens side of the ledger to create balance. Well, if there were more dollars to add, she'd be right. But, there are no more dollars. And now this little factoid, discrepancy, dare I say inequity, is in the light of day. The solution is clear: The six users of the REA complex must each show a portion of the rent in their cost breakdowns. MIH must no longer carry the load for all; it is not equitable treatment. I say the breakdown should be based on space and hours used (training, lockers, practice, game day). WSoc would have the smallest portion, but there would be something. The MIH and WIH portions would be roughly equal and probably much larger than MBB, WBB, and WVB. Pure guess by me, but I'd suspect the final breakdown would look something like: MIH: 35% WIH: 30% MBB: 10% WBB: 10% WVB: 10% WSoc: 5% WSoc is probably still too high, but you see what I'm trying to get at.- 2,150 replies
