University of North Dakota Hockey 2016 - 2017 Season
The Sicatoka replied to Frozen4sioux's topic in Men's Hockey
At least we had an Ulmer on the score sheet already: a Caggiula and a couple Duncans, one that the goalie tried to Lammy until he realized the light was on. -

Yeah, first shot Notermann'd, rebound was Kozek'd to the corner. They tried a Johnson but it ended up behind the net where the attempted Parks failed. Puck popped into the slot and they Schmaltz'd the chance. Ended up a turnover that got Bina'd for a Gothberg. -
Already taken ... PS - Wouldn't that be offensive to Hindus?

Recruiting would be done in MSP and Canada (where it is the other sport). Facilities would be far better (HPC and Alerus) than what we can support for other sports. Travel, as you state, can not be ignored, nor can conference; but, the season is short (16 games). That's eight travel weeks at most (fewer if you can schedule double-headers or travel partners). The sport is growing locally and regionally (MSP, Denver). I also see the day where one home mens lax game draws what baseball did in a home season; and I see lax as offering tailgating options that baseball never could.

No, I think a guy named Champagne got Caggiula'd. Cagguila'd: To be a part of a SportsCenter highlight, but not in a good way. See also: Posterized. -
Jay Caufield has played more games for the Pens than Kessel, and probably has done more for the franchise to date (namely help bring Mario back after his illness).

Big Sky should add more VBalls, drop tennis

Be careful. I've asked that question before. I've also asked why the NCAA has minimum sport sponsorship numbers. So what if Clarkson wanted to play DI mens hockey and nothing else? -

UND Hockey Definitions: Ulmer: a 3 goal, 3 assist, 6 point game (been done once since it was created, by a women's player) Notermann: a shot off the pipe Kozek: shot so hard that you can't follow it visually but know where it is by the sound of it off the glass -
Bubba and staff seem to have come in with an evaluation and a plan ... and are executing.

I was going to do "under 20k" but was way too lazy to type that much.

You should've called Eric and suggested "Fighting Arrows".

Karl was voted captain but couldn't exercise it on ice because this rule has been in the NCAA rule book for quite a while: Source: http://www.ncaapublications.com/productdownloads/IH16.pdf You need a non-goalie with a C to talk to the officials. -

Every time you show up, yes it is. PS - You really should be honest and change your username to what you are: FauxHawk. <-- That's funny. -
Using the link zonadub so kindly provided ... FBS schools under 16000* (average) in 2015: Ball State** Central Michigan** Eastern Michigan (4897!)** Florida International + Georgia State*** Idaho Kent State** Louisiana - Monroe*** Massachusetts** Miami of Ohio** North Texas + Northern Illinois** San Jose State That is 13 (>10%) of 127 under 16000. *Yeah, the FBS number is 15000, but if you're that close you're worth noting. **MAC schools ***Sun Belt schools + C-USA

I'll see you at the next support group meeting.

A little mouse was in the room when Kelley first put together and met with one of his infamous committees. That mouse spoke with me. The mouse told me that Kelley came into the room and started explaining his grand plan for a committee to report to a committee to select the committee to designate the panel to report to the panel selection committee which would lead to a suggestion committee then to a selection committe. Two people in the room (the first committee, circa 2011) were stunned and both said: Deal with this. Now. Get it done. Now. And of course, Kelley, smarter than both, did it his own way anyway. What is stunning is those two, who were both saying "we do this here and now" were ... Leigh Jeanotte and Ed Schafer Why wasn't Ed in place 12 months earlier ... < sigh > ... heck, why wasn't it Ed instead of Kelley for the whole Kelley regime.

I'm pretty sure Doug is lost west of ND Highway 18 unless he has his GPS enabled Windows Phone. OK, OK, that might be harsh. It's Highway 32. -
So Bresciani has a goal to make NDSU AAU ....

Is Bill Gates allowed to criticize American higher education? -
You never know; some schools have esoteric course requirements for their grad school to effectively give preference to their own (or in-state) undergrads.
-
Walker has his undergrad from Colorado and has a year of eligibility for football left? I like it on so many levels. What was his undergrad and what's he studying in grad school?

That's where Ed and I diverge. -
Be careful. Ed's father Harold was the guy that started Medora and selling the TR/Roughriders imagery of the State. Ed might have come out with something I lobbied for (and that "Abe Vigoda" didn't like).
-
Minor diversion to the new FLA logo ... I was pro-Roughriders. I would've argued for sleeve hashes (1 for FR; 4 for SR) and collar regalia for Cs and As on jerseys.
