In 1943 SV could predict "Allies to win WWII." He could toss in that the US will drop a new type of devastating bomb, a hydrogen bomb, on Tokyo, to break the Japanese will. In 1945 many would point out SV's "hydrogen / Tokyo" was wrong, but miss out on giving credit for predicting the surrender by the Axis powers.

A big part of that play was the QU defenseman that dove to try to break up Ladue's pass. In the process, he took himself out of the play and left Caggiula unattended. I wonder how much it helped that Stetcher and Garteig (the QU goalie) played together in Penticton. I'm pretty sure Troy had "book" on that guy and let the team know all of his tendencies. Then again, "book" included "good passer and puck handler". Ask Boeser about that.

West of the Mississippi (to help UMn and UW) the only mens hockey affiliate options are: - North Dakota - one of just 47 public institutions with Medicine and Law schools - Denver - maybe just elitist enough, but the Moutain time zone could work against them; the plus would be BTN in Denver - Air Force - I doubt they'd leave a conference with Army - Colorado College - the dark horse, but an academically highly regarded private I really don't think you'll split up DU and CC. Write off the sub-schools in Nebraska and Minnesota (UMD, plus MSUM, BSU, SCSU).
