Interesting that Jacobson brought up resources for NDSU WBB in that chat.
-
" ... dismissed ... " First Robbins, now Jacobson. Another NDSU athlete, a legacy of an NDSU WBB player mom, is done at NDSU. Each, arguably, by NDSU's own hand*. *Be it "trusted staff member" or whatever Larson's claim (grad student?) for Robbins and now dismissed by WBB team in this latest case.

Going back to what I said in the GF Economy thread, that's a mistake: Quit shipping out raw resources; do the value added manufacturing here (make that money too) and ship out that product.

Wa-a-a-a-a-a-a-ait for it.
-
Wa-a-a-a-a-ait a minute here. Was that like a modern pop/rock/rap song with like something other than an autotuner and synthesized music? Like ... real horns? For some reason that's just going to ... make me smile.

I believe there will be a stretch before the freshman figure it out that will be pretty barren; however, they will end up with more goals at season's end than the 2018-19 team.
-
Gotta ask: Will they start doing the ... haka (like in video) ... before games soon too? Wait ... that might be culturally insensitive. Nevermind.
-
I'm sure they picked that music because Briggs is a huge Hawera Hawks fan.

1. The Tall Towers Conference is dead. Sorry you missed the wake. 2. Changing the names will solve declining population and changing demographics (fewer kids)? C'mon man.

Why'd the needle on my cynicism meter just bounce off the top limit?

The raw materials leave. And then someone else makes money on the value added processing. Send out durum; someone else makes it into pasta and sells the higher value end product. We send out raw sugar; Hershey's adds some stuff and sells chocolate bar. ND should be sending out "frosted sugar bombs" cereal, not the wheat, corn and sugar that someone else uses to make "frosted sugar bombs". Having the raw materials is great and good money; but, I'd like to have that money and the first level of value added processing money also. It'd be money and jobs.

University of North Dakota 2018-19 Season
The Sicatoka replied to Frozen4sioux's topic in Men's Hockey
No, I won't say that. I will say I have no idea night to night which team will show up: the one that waxed SCSU or the one that got shuffled in Buffalo. That's on the players. -
Next season we have the potential for less offense than this season ... until the freshmen figure out the college level. Having some games where the freshmen can figure it out isn't a bad thing. And yes, don't clomp those games like this year. It's about piling up a big RPI (the PWR tie breaker comparison) and to do that you must crank up the winning percentage.

Who you kidding? Joe Finley was a natural born sniper.

Altru should be putting this in every ad and on every billboard in the region. https://www.altru.org/about-us/who-we-are/mayo-clinic-care-network/

Those attendance numbers appear to have gone from Woodside to woodshed. (Yeah, yeah, yeah, Woodside was done back in 2009. Just go with the attempt at humor.)

Will they be able to fit his walker with skate blades?

I think NAS came out of yesterday the best (Granlund and Simmonds).

Would a relegation scheme work like in World Juniors?

Strange, but that Aviation page does not appear as claimed. https://und.edu/programs/commercial-aviation-bsaero/index.html Nor does the visible Education page. https://und.edu/programs/early-childhood-education-bsed/index.html Nor the Accountancy https://und.edu/programs/accountancy-bacc/index.html -
We (I) don't know why Todd Anderson hasn't officiated since the Schuldt hit on Mismash. That said, it is a most curious coincidence. And as PCM knows, in my world there are no coincidences.

Won't lack of competition (teams to play) do the same?
-
I fully admit some of the rides would be hellish; however, that Willston to West Fargo trip is a joy today already. What says there couldn't be league games at neutral sites?

I know this is blasphemy, but in hockey why don't ND and SD do a combined AA and A two-state system. Most of SD would be A but a couple teams might be AA worthy. And I'm saying this for both boys and girls hockey.
