2021-22 University of North Dakota Hockey Season

Since 2015-16, UND has gone with a C plus four or more A's three times (twice under Ausmus, and under Kawaguchi). This past season it was Kawaguchi with JBD, Kierstad, Senden, Weatherby. <- The obvious captain, the undergrad surely gone, the senior, and the heirs apparent. Two D, three forwards. I could see a similar pattern this season: Senden with Weatherby, Hain, Sanderson, Frisch. (Sanderson is almost surely gone and Frisch is the transition heir 2021-22). The only thing that we're not accounting for is there is some serious leadership coming in from the transfer portal. Ford wore the C at BGSU; Calder wore an A at LSSU. -

WARNING: The sound you are about to hear is my shoulder popping out of socket as I pat myself on the back. I'd say picking up a Swedish goalie that was on none of our radars qualifies as "rabbit to be pulled out of a hat, and Karl Goehring is the magician". I called what was coming. < pop > Ouch. -
No .... Berenson Rink at Domino's Arena.
-
Hot take I heard is MTL or TOR would use Buffalo's rink if the border is still closed. Better? It went on to speculate WPG or EDM would use ... The X (if no MIN) or ... REA.

Right now the complaint is too light to stop the run. Get them bigger and heavier and the complaint will be they can't help enough in pass coverage.

I'm no fan of Perry, but he did what he could to avoid that collision.

That's exactly while I bemoan hockey becoming soccer (1-0 scores). In a 3-2 game a bad puck off a seam is 20% of the scoring. In a 6-4 game it's 10% of the scoring. I'd like the game decided more on skill and talent than the slings and arrows of misfortune. "Vaht?" -- Watzisnaem "Perky" Sparko -
WMU senior backup goalie Austin Cain is going to use his "Covid year" at Providence.

WMU senior backup goalie Austin Cain is going to use his "Covid year" at Providence. Seems a clear tell that Bussi is the man now at WMU.

Not exactly The Avengers ... ... hold it ... Spader became Ultron!

Dr. Frazier Crane is Bruce Hornsby's drummer. Who knew?

I heard speculation that WAS may leave TJ exposed in the expansion draft and dare SEA to take on the rest of his deal. It'd open up cap space for WAS if he was taken. SEA would get a player that lived in WA part of his life, a pseudo-local. It could be fun to refer to him as "TJ Kraken". We'll see. SI's too early predictions have three UND guys as Kraken: Jost, Stecher, Oshie. https://www.si.com/hockey/news/seattle-mock-expansion-draft-1-who-cracks-the-kraken-roster

Look at 1-4 and think "semifinalists". That's how. Nothing more. Don't believe me? Look at the final college hockey poll.

Ditka. Da Bears.

That's an interesting take. That injury could take out two potential championship seasons.

You do realize that falls on deaf ears as you say it leaning against a full trophy case.

SDSU 1 UND 0 UND eliminated
-
UNO 5, UND 0 Final And of course #4 UMKC beat #1 SDSU to start the day so #6 UND gets #1 SDSU yet today in an elimination game.

Looking like they're going to need another six-unanswered comeback ... Good thing for this part of the bracket being double elimination.

Well I'll be: - win a Summit Tourney game as the 6 over the 3 (NDSU) - six-run unanswered comeback https://fightinghawks.com/news/2021/5/12/softball-no-6-und-rallies-for-6-5-win-over-no-3-ndsu-in-summit-league-tournament.aspx
