    In all due respect, I could've averaged 3.5 ypc behind the 1983 Washington "Commanders" offensive line. (It wasn't Theisman that made them win.)

    I know many don't ponder such esoteric things as "benches relative to the rink", but I do notice. UND is historically a "left change" team. What's that? At the opening faceoff the UND left wing is closest to the UND bench. I noticed over the weekend that Duluth is a "right change" team (meaning their RW is closest to the bench at opening drop); that means UND plays as it's usual "left change" self at "I'm Soiled" Arena. Alternatively, UMD plays as a right change at REA. So, I'm drawing a blank on the rest of the league. (Darn brain.) Help? And I've wondered why UND doesn't stay with "left change" when they are the higher seed at tournament sites (home locker room aside).

    What's his point? That UMD and UND commit more infractions than their opponents? Otherwise, he as a member of media is openly impugning the integrity of the officials. Good luck getting interviews in the future.

    The NCAA is so upset with Michigan and Wisconsin over this they'll ban Grand Valley State and UW-Whitewater from post-season.

    The NDHSAA website says "three games today at Purpur". https://ndhsaanow.com/schedules/icehockey-boys?program_id=&tier_id=214&level=varsity&interval=today That means WF Sheyenne, North, South, and Davies all made it up I-29. (And will be able to get home later ... ) In other news, I have a bridge for sale from when I lived out east ...

    I'm pretty sure we'll get a fourth year out of Ethan Frisch. He saw how that helped Matt Kierstad. But will he use his Covid year (versus signing a deal after four years of college)? I'm not so sure.

    Dear DU, Your last four games (@UND, H/H CC) you should be able to just look past. No worries. Skate in the park. Just roll your helmets out there. You'd beat all those guys sleepwalking though the game. Take a couple weekends off to be ready for post-season; you've earned them.     Another in this category: You can NOT have a (for example) trip and a dive on the same play: Either it was a trip or a dive. You CAN have a trip and an embellishment on the same play: You were tripped, but then gave an Oscar worthy performance to prove you were tripped. It makes me crazy when the officials make a penalty+dive call. Read the rule book!

    In hockey you need goaltending. In football you need offensive linemen. To almost steal a line from an old commercial ... "Where's the BIG?" In hoop you need a post.

    UND needs 5 points either gained by UND or lost by WMU and second is guaranteed. <— Another big series. With the DU loss, UND now controls its own destiny regarding #PenneRosa.

    I’d have bet neither of those happen this weekend (was thinking splits UND/UMD and SCSU/UNO). Both happened. UND no worse than third in the NCHC.
