From what I can find, Mankato needs to lose their conference championship and DU has to win the Frozen Faceoff for DU to get into the top 2.
-
The NCHC Frozen Faceoff is current PWR 3, 5, 6, and 9. That's an average of 5.75. The average PWR of the four Frozen Four teams will be ... ?
-
I think what hurt the east is ... last season. Correlate "games played in 2020-21 season" to the PWR right now. Teams that took 2020-21 off are hurtin' right now.

I'm still interested in seeing how HEA performs this year given the change to all HEA playoffs being one-gamers (no best two-of-three rounds).
-
Looks to me like COL is hardening up its roster for a Cup run: - acquire defensive defenseman Josh Manson (traded away rights to Drew Helleson and a 2nd round pick) - acquire Nico Sturm as a bottom six grind forward (traded away Tyson Jost)

Why give it clicks or attention? -
Well it's worked for Penn State ... nevermind.

Geez ... who's doing their N/C scheduling? Minnesota?
-
I agree with this. Have the coaches maximized the output of that talent through coaching, play-calling, and "putting guys in the right places to make plays"? I'd say this is the area to improve next.

I typed "stoneySIOUX" into my English -> Mandarin translator and it came back "Hung Wei Lo".

I see the four regional two-seeds being: - two NCHC schools - Quinnipiac - Notre Dame Q'piac and the Domers will stay/go east. Who the two NCHC schools are will determine who goes where. If it's WMU and UND, UND goes to Loveland; if it's DU and UND, UND goes east.
-
I could see a Q'piac / MSU final ... where after the 0-0 regulation, followed by the thirty-fifth scoreless OT the NCAA changes the rules such that if you cross the attacking blue line and maintain possession of the puck you win.
-
Of today's top four (Mich, Minn, DU, and Mankow), Michigan scares me the least: Get out and get on them and get up one and see how the handle the pressure of UND rolling four and having to chase. After last year, I fear MSU-Mankato may be on a mission.
-
Personally, I'd be good with a regional final where Nick Portz skates stride for stride with Matty Berniers to the corner, where Carson Albrecht teaches him about the boards and checking, and Griffin Ness picks his pocket clean, again. And all the while the announcers blather on about how surprised they are that Owen Power might only be the third or fourth best defender in the game. I could watch and listen to that game.

Re: The Timeout Game I was sitting in a bar/restaurant in Fargo having dinner and wearing UND gear. At the bar were some loutish baffoons in the wrong shade of green and what was at that time called stream yellow. And they were suddenly Gopher fans at 3-0 Moldin' Rodents and more than willing to let my party know it. When the game tied up I bought them each a beer with the note, "Drink fast, you'll need the mug to catch your tears." -
Today's reminder: Ralph played hockey. To expect his heirs to support else is unrealistic* ... unless you expect Phil Jackson to start supporting women's soccer. *but greatly appreciated should they choose to do so

McGarry wasn't going for public sentiment; she has a "seat" at ira's "virtual" table and was opening what was going on to public scrutiny. (And I think she missed the mark in that case.)

Looking back, I think it was a law firm doing retirement planning sessions. It was something called Morgan Wallen. Sounds like Edward Jones or Raymond James.

He's no "Cindy" but he was a Cindy.

I don't know, I'm asking: Could the portal be a result of these kids (what they are) having played on a new AAU/traveling team every two years? Changing teams like socks seems normal to them. Long-term commitment is a foreign concept. The portal is just an extention of "normal change" to them. (And this applies to BB and hockey.)
-
They do. The delay might have something to do with 25000 "impaired" tourists who just spent two plus hours at "Bob's Country Bunker*" and who just walked out into atmospheric and road conditions that caused a 25-car chain reaction collision on I-29. *"We have both kinds of music: country and western."

Grand Forks need an underpass (no ramps*) at 17th Avenue South to access the industrial park and to provide a "to the west" outlet for Alerus Center. *see 40th Ave S in Fargo
