UMD has played a lot of hockey the last few seasons. The wear totals up. Biondi might be a signal of what Duluth's slow start was.

11-2 in his first year at "UDub"? Gushing seems reasonable. UDub was 4-8 in 2021. I have three UDub relatives. When DeBoer was hired they asked me. I said we picked Bubba over; they cringed. I said UND screwed up. They were still skeptical. I set "the number" at 8 wins. If the UDub 2022 record was under 8 wins I'd owe a 1.75 of Tito's for each game under 8. Contrarily, for each win over 8 they'd owe me a 1.75 of Tito's. I made the bet with each of the three. So 11 wins, 3 over 8, times 3 bets ... 3 times 3 bets times 1.75 ... yeah, lotta Tito's coming to me. In my email this morning was note to go to Costco and send them the bill. And they didn't seem upset at all.

I found it an edited original post.

BSU had 2022 DII All-Americans at WR, OL, and LB, not RB. The OL was a junior; the others were seniors. https://bsubeavers.com/news/2022/12/14/football-beaulieu-cobb-and-kaplan-garner-all-american-accolades-from-ap-and-d2cca.aspx You must mean RB Jalen Frye, who was a 2019 All-American, didn't have a 2020 season and was hurt all of 2021. https://www.bemidjipioneer.com/sports/college/football-bemidji-state-lead-back-fan-favorite-jalen-frye-enters-transfer-portal Frye (5'6", 170) is small; he makes Red Wilson (5'9", 185) look like a giant. Frye's YPC from 2019 to 2022 is down over a full yard. Frye stats: https://bsubeavers.com/sports/football/roster/jalen-frye/12960 Frye does not scream "between the tackles" guy (that UND needs).

What to look for today: Group B: SVK gets one point they send LAT to relegation round. If LAT wins, SVK needs two points vs SUI Saturday to avoid relegation. Group A: Under the assumption that GER loses Sat in regulation to CZE (because CZE will be playing for top 2 seeding) ... The AUT-GER is basically loser goes to relegation round.

Closing out Dec 29: CAN 11-0 AUT final Connor Bedard with another WJC run-of-the-mill two goal, six point night in the win. I think Mr. Bedard needs to get a pilot's license and a university degree and I know just the place ... The AUT "given up unanswered" in this tournament now stands at 31. (11, 9, 11).

Hey, ... there is no need to bring up @Godsmackbeing relegated down from IIHF Tier III co-ed broomball.

< fingers in ears > < eyes closed > LA-LA-LA-can't hear you, can't see you-LA-LA-LA!!! And yes @CMSioux I'll be surprised if he lands FCS again next year. I'm thinking he heard P5 conference whispers in his ears.

CAN goalie could leave for the toilet and come back and the TV audience would never know.

6-0
-
CAN 5-0 AUT Two in 30 seconds to start second
-
CAN 3-0 AUT end first
-
If you had the under on AUT giving up 21.5 unanswered goals to start the 2023 WJC … you just lost. CAN 2-0 AUT under 4 in first (AUT lost 11-0 and 9-0 already.)
