Dear Mr. Cooley, Pull a Jasper Weatherby. Please. I'll make the popcorn.

Bets that the printer was ForumComm?

ASU was recently added to the AAU. That's a big deal to the B1G. I was wondering if that might trigger the B1G to poach some more out of the PAC, namely ASU. But if ASU is going to the NCHC I'd now guess they either go to the BXII or the PAC survives the losses of USC and UCLA.

I'd rather call it the Chinese restaurant ... dog is always on the menu.

This is where the alleged "puppetmaster" ( (c) SIOUXFAN97 ) named Fenton is doing work if at all on topic. Locking "the unnamed, recent DI, purple-wearing, Catholic university in the Twin Cities" to the NCHC helps keep them in the Summit too, with UND, DU, and UNO. That would not be a bad thing. I'd say the path to the NCHC is: Be a desirable school, in a demographically good location, start hockey, prove you're serious with some wins, build a rink, and petition. The underlined does not favor Augustana. There's access to Sioux Falls already via SDSU and USD. And SF doesn't have potential students like MSP or AZ.

ASU to the NCHC. Yeah, it's being talked about in "Hockey" but the historical record goes here too.

2022-23 ND High School Hockey

The flip side is some other kids may get a varsity shot they would not have otherwise and who knows what they make of it. -
Gold Canyon. On a course. Endless pool with hot tub and swim-up bar. I've already called "dibs" on the guest cabana. Did I mention the putting green by the pool? You are not allowed to move the scorpions.

Ninth left out, or Eight/Nine one-game play-in. Cost wise (time and travel), ninth out makes sense. One gets a bye sets up a "Final Five" scenario. Plausible. But coaches don't favor.
-
And you want your pod to kick the crap out of everyone in non-pod play (PWR).
-
Miami being in a known pod with WMU and Omaha (shortest travel) might keep them around.
-
Oh ... Congrats and welcome ASU! https://thesundevils.com/news/2023/7/5/mens-ice-hockey-arizona-state-to-join-nchc-starting-in-2024-25-season.aspx But be prepared for a decade's worth of junk-punches for that thing in Vegas.
-
Um ... Fenton runs the Summit, not the NCHC, right now.
-
Dare I say Miami is on the clock? This may cause them to look at going somewhere that they are more competitive and with less travel.
-
Mac has everything ... except a "6" to start his height. And these days that (wrongly) costs about 20 draft slots.
-
If you mean the iron pyrite variant ...
-
Wishing him a healthy season.

Many of your ideas are more batter than cake when they come out of the "oven". I must admit, this is a solid, marketable idea. Send it to Bo.
