That's where NDSU at $5M for grants doesn't make sense. Both MT schools, with fewer sports, are dollars ahead. I wonder if @nodak651 has some data. And FBS means going 63 -> 85 FB scholarships (plus whatever Title IX adjustments must also be made). EDIT: I look elsewhere and what do I find @nodak651 has posted. Their overall campus enrollment can't be that male dominated.

Yikes.

Yup, and yup.

The HurriHawks. Now when's that Drizly driver get here @stoneySIOUX?
-
May I choose not to and go instead with "request granted".

Let's hope he reacts the way Kierstad and Frisch reacted.

Imagine the number "$5M" haunting you two ways: - it's all you're doing in athletic grants and raising that will get some Title IX eyeballs to verify all is well, or not - it's what the NDSU academic bailout was -- imagine the press: $5M academic bailout used as FBS FB buy-in I stand by my observation: Of the MTs, SDs, and NDs, UND has the smallest lift under the proposed rule, followed by NDSU.

How did that (not) happen? Ethan Frisch 2.0

Further ponderance requires Grain Belt or Tito's. Please call Happy Harry and have them Drizly some over on your tab.

Cane-iacs? Wait, that's taken. Sugar beets, sugar cane, ... Hurricanes, North Dakota, ... the wind blown?

These rounds are moving right along. Lower Broadway must be calling.

These potential changes ... if they happen are quite interesting. Key points: - 16 sports (not new) - $6M in grants (90% of scholarships allowed, 210 grants) - drop the attendance requirements UND is at $5.94M now and doing 17 sports. NDSU is doing 16 sports but is at $5M. SDSU is at $4.25M and 20+ sports. Montana St is almost $6M like UND but only 15 sports. Montana is $5.5M but only 15 sports. The knock on UND is "Alerus is too small". If that is no longer an issue, UND seems to have the smallest lift, namely just fund the additional FBS grants. Most curious. Shaugabay (Warroad HS) to TBL at 115.

Now CHI picks up Bailey from NYI and signing rights to Perry from TBL. They're building a wall, a mean wall, around Bedard.

Well they are both red and black ...

Why'd I just think of "Tyson Jost".

NDSU just got a $5M State bailout to prevent deeper cuts than already happening in NDSU academics. Turning around and paying a $5M NCAA buy-in would get a pretty good stink-eye from skeptics around the State, especially in the Legislature. Even if it came from donors it'd get a lot of negative feedback about priorities at NDSU and their donor base. PS - You still need a bona fide invitation to move up.

From the link: If this passes the size of the Alerus Center just became a non-factor.
