Instead of "caps" (maximums), would "floors" (minimums) on scholarships solve the problem? As far as divisions, I see the NCAA eliminating a division before it would create one, or even a new sub-category within one. Divisions mean championships and championships cost money: Fewer divisions, fewer championships to sponsor, more money for the NCAA.

BSU Stats versus UND Stats BSU has three guys scoring at a point a game or better. UND has none.

The PWR doesn't give a beaver's bottom (or would that be Beaver's bottom?) about 12-0 whitewash final scores. The PWR viewed UMD and BSU each as 1-1-0 head to head after those two games. For the remainder of this season The Sioux can not afford to lose to any teams with lower RPIs or PWRs. Period.

Is this the same Bemidji State that knocked off a Frozen Four team last season? This Sioux team is ripe for the picking given this week's distractions and the off-week. I'm sure BSU knows that.

Back to The Betty, are we sure they can't broadcast out of there? The specs say: - TV broadcast booth - Radio broadcast booth - Game filming platform - Fiber-optic communications The TV booth, filming platform, and fiber-optic lines say "TV ready". Couldn't they just send the camera feeds to The Ralph and use the production room and satellite uplink from there?

I still say the place for a ramp is - south of REA, - north of the Memorial Union, - west of the medical school, but - east of the nursing building. You could connect it by skyway to Med, REA, and the Union. Yeah, there'd be some long skyways, but I know I'd pay to park in a ramp and walk a block or two indoors to the finest hockey facility on earth.

Nope. Sorry. I'm just a shill for, not an employee of, UND. At the risk of repeating myself:

"Shamelessly plug"? That sounds like you assume PCM is compensated by USCHO. Knowing PCM, that'd be wrong. Apparently what PCM does get for reporting, reporting what UND had released to the press 30 minutes earlier(!), is a long, deep line of excrement from folks that can't handle the truth. UND released it late in the day (hey, PCM could have gone "exclusive" on it much earlier in the day but he didn't! -- see his point d), PCM wrote it after the UND release, USCHO posted it, it was going to be here sooner or later. But all of that is off the key issue: Mr. Greene triggered this whole sequence with his choices.

Let's see, 0230 hours Sunday until Monday late afternoon. That's over 36 hours. Ever hear of a telephone? Scarier yet, how about a cell phone. What do you bet Greene and Hakstol each have one? And what about Associate Head Coach Berry? Or Assistant Coach Eades? "On the table" is much better than "whispers and rumors." (Heavens, did I just agree with Gopher-lovin' sagard?)

Sioux Basketball (and Volleyball) is now officially housed in The Betty. All of the nostagia is there. Hyslop is now indoor training space for the other sports at UND.

Wanless on the UND position: http://www.grandforks.com/mld/grandforks/s...ta/10712002.htm Another article: Searching for an AD It's a pretty good article. Here's an interesting quote from it: "Next level" and "ongoing process" talk from Gene? I thought he was dead-set anti-DI.

GF Herald: No comment.

Fact: He failed a field sobriety test. Forgive me if the standard I hold people to is "never have to take that test."

You all tell me what it's like to have your head "two-railed" off the driver's side window and windshield of your car (while wearing a seat belt no less) from being broadsided by a drunk driver and I'll tell you all about righteous indignation.
-
In light of this situation Mr. Greene has put himself into, let's play word association: - Craig MacTavish - Dany Heatley At least Greene has "lucky" to go with "stupid". Well, maybe the others were lucky too because they weren't the ones killed by a drunk driver.

First: Why is anyone trying to shoot the messenger? PCM's story didn't go to USCHO until after UND released a statement. Guess what! Cat's out of the bag already at that point. Next: So, this is the kind of captaincy this Sioux team has had all season. So this is the sort of (alleged) "leadership" this team has been under up to this point. It all makes sense now. Finally: I'd pull the "C" from the jersey on the way to the arena door (and I'd keep the jersey too). I'd suspend him from the team until this matter is dealt with. I'm watching for how not one but two people respond to this: Matt Greene and David Hakstol. PS - dagies, I've been in a car, driving, broadsided by a drunk driver.

I was screaming at the TV begging for Scott to do it!
-
John Scott looked like a kid in the toy aisle in Wal-Mart when he had one in each hand: "Gee mommy, which one do I want? Simon or Theodore? Oh look! Here comes Alvin!" Now if he'd have just checked to see if they rattle when shaken hard or just taken the stuffin' out of 'em. :D

Glad to see they listened.

Contrary to what some will try to tell you or have you believe, the team is not "all overage Canadians." I'd guess Sparky learned the words to "O Canada", wore a tuk, and fit right in, eh. According to the roster: Americans: Bina, Brandt, Canady, Fabian, Foyt, Fuher, Fylling, Greene, Jones, Lamoureux, Marvin, Massen, Parise**, Schneider, Smaby, Stafford Canadians: Genoway, Kaip, McMahon, Murray*, Porter, Prpich, Radke, Spirko***, Zajac Anyone know the actual rosters they used? * Actually he's a dual-citizen, US-Canada. Does that mean he has to stay between the blue lines, in the neutral zone? ** American, but JP was Canadian, eh? Does that make him the Canadian goalie by default? *** Slovakian

I agree. The pre-Gino and mid-1990s eras in old REA were pretty quiet but no one remembers that. I'm happy my favorite college team plays in an arena that can "Wow!" the Great One and NHL front office people.

Somebody get the signs ready for his next visit to The Ralph. "How do you do that Don?" Don Adam's Rulebook of the Month Club: "I Make It Up As I Go" by Don Adam Adam's Rule Book: (blank space below)
