  1. An "NDSU grad" talking about their personal problems in regards to a turf-care issue of a UND fan ends a thread on SiouxSports.com? I think not. Holdem, don't you have another punching-bag football opponent to go hype up for homecoming? And for that matter, you're spending your homecoming weekend posting here? Fixation. F-I-X, A-T, I-O-N. Fixation. PS - I'd already invoked "Diggler". We must talk about the BSC henceforth.
  2. The NCAA losing its tax-exempt status would make it have to compete on a level playing field with the professional leagues. And honestly, that's who it has decided to compete with.
  3. I hear Diggler is a big TJ Oshie fan. OK, I invoked "Diggler*" so we must return to topic: Don't the BSC presidents meet yet this month? * The Diggler Rule: Bring him up and you must un-hijack the thread and return to the original topic.
  4. And you've never slowed down and rubber-necked at a bloody car crash.
  5. I saw the thread title and figured "Larry the Cable Guy" and the rest of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour started posting here.
  6. Ron Hextall's kid? A Hextall with a firey, nasty streak? Sayitaintso.
  7. Most. West Fargo beat themselves by not reestablishing late first-half momentum with their opening drive of the second half. (They'd scored the last 10 points of the half to make a 14-10 halftime game.) Instead, West Fargo stalls at mid-field and then the punter droped the snap on an attempted punt on 4th and 2. South got the short field, and went up 21-10. Game. (Yeah, early to call it, but that's what it was.)
  8. Cheer for the goal posts: "Hit 'em!"
  9. Reading this list, it looks like the "Grand Forks" television market (best described by folks who can receive WDAZ-TV over the air) with the exception of Cable One in "Fargo, SD". If they're going over Cable One in Fargo, clearly there's no "TV market overlap" issues. Why not just put it on all of the normal Fighting Sioux Sports Network outlets? Why do I say that? Midco will not have me as a viewer at all on Fri/Sat unless UND/UW is on. (I sure ain't watchin' Goldie when I can listen to The Sioux.)
  10. For those of you at a distance .... http://www.kx4.com The GF shot is from CAS; the Fargo shot is from near I-94 and University.
  11. How about this? (See post 20 in the same thread to understand. )
  12. I knew it would draw 'em out of the woodwork.
  13. Folks, m-a-r-k-e-t-i-n-g c-a-m-p-a-i-g-n, and a good one. I know it's not the norm for UND but a coordinated campaign is a good move. And our exposure to such has been, how shall we say, not as 'well received' in all quarters; as examples from NDSU: "S-ream Yellow" or this year's "thUNDderstruck". (I just know Bison fans love it when I emphasize the "UND" in thUNDer, ala "thUNDerstruck" or "thUNDering herd" to emphasize how much they wish they were UND.)
  14. It's fish in a barrel.
  15. You're probably overqualified with that group.
  16. Keep that up and you'll get hired by the NCAA in Indianapolis, Indiana. You got their "logic" down.
  17. Which one? Or all of them?
  18. Seems like the wrong tactic to me: If you believe the name will go away, the last stuff will become "collectables" and fly off the shelves (at premium).
  19. Goon, buddy, how could UND keep that four-feather and a person logo when William and Mary have to drop two feathers off a "WM" (just letters) logo?

  21. Or like the title of a bad Emilo Estevez movie.
  22. Catchy? Dorky? For reference see also ....
  23. The past few years the marketing of UND athletics has gone with a theme. Look back at all the schedule posters (FB, hockey, BB) from 2003, and 2004, and 2005, and now 2006. Each has had a "theme" or "look" to them. This year's theme and look includes a catchy phrase: "Force of the North." If that makes some restless, so be it.
  24. A more complete accounting from the preliminary injunction statement:
