  1. Part of the Kangas/Bachman problem may have been sophomore slump. Another may have been complacency: They knew the job was theirs. Enter Aaron Dell. (Crazy like fox that Hakstol.)
  2. Of course you don't. Imagine the environmental impact statement paperwork you'd have to do over all of that toxic waste dumped into the ocean.
  3. No, it's been about making money for your friends when you're in power in Washington. Ask Al "I'm up $100 million since I was VP" Gore. And it's also about creating a false economy: buying and selling "credits". Must be nice to create something new "of worth" out of nothing, and also have to power to force people to buy the nothings. When a situation confuses you and nothing seems to make sense: Stop. Rise above. Look in objectively from the outside. And ... Follow the Benjamins, for then all will become clear.
  4. Bemidji State made that Frozen Four run with how many "blue chippers"? BSU had a couple guys who didn't have star-name-power but who did show they know how to play the game in pressure situations and a team bought into a system that worked for them.
  5. 'Suppressed' Climate Change Report
  6. I predict I'm going to ask until we find answers to ... Do we have an official "Yup" or "Nope" from Forney yet? It seems Dayn Belfour has been seen at a USHL camp. Interesting. Do we have a name of a third goalie yet?
  7. It's a philosophy. It's a 400.
  8. A doctor is charged $xxx for their medical license which gives them status to work in a state. And they, as a service provider, don't pass that along to their consumers? And they're required to carry malpractice insurance. I'm sure they don't pass that cost along either. Nobody can be that naive. It's the cost of doing business and that cost is always built in to the price and passed along. Period.
  9. I'm assuming folks concerned with carbon going into the atmosphere are pedaling a stationary bike to power their PC. If not, they should shut off the PC to do their part to limit carbon (and other noxious) emissions. No, wait, their pedaling would cause additional human-based CO2 emissions. Now how could they stop those emissions ... breathe less?
  10. Wouldn't be surprised at all to find out Morinville and Johnson have chatted. No further comment.
  11. <my best radio-guy voice> ... forehand, backhand, ... waterbottle, ... what a move! GOAL! He got us all leaning one way, and then just used the 'tender. No chance. Top corner. Left 'em sprawling. That'll be on the scoresheet as 'choyt, unassisted, at 9:10'. Kids listening at home, that's why you work and work and work on that backhander. You use it when you get a chance like that. Face-off back at center ice ... </my best radio-guy voice>
  12. Tell it to the newspaper in Grand Island, NE, that reported it. They must be the ones making up lies.

  14. Sure, not your average spectator, but a spectator the same just the same. http://board.uscho.com/showpost.php?p=4319...p;postcount=407 So, who is going to reign in "Myles' Monster".
  15. Luke Johnson? Why not GF (HS name here), then NAHL (Bismarck), then NAHL (Bismarck), then USHL (Fargo), then USHL (Fargo), then ... wisely attend dad's alma mater.
  16. You have to average 90% of max allowed over a two-year period. Max is 63, so you have to average 56.7.
  17. Uh, Mr. Rocket Surgeon, sir, the University of Alaska (at Fairbanks) is in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA). UNO's Alaska travel (to Anchorage) would be *shorter* in the WCHA.
  18. <--- I have for a while. Personally, I like the black shadowing (at right) over the silver/grey shadowing in the PDF.
  19. And the assistant during that time was ... Jimmy Rodgers. In that photo there are 11 NBA titles as a head coach (1 for Fitch, the tall guy has the other 10). There are six titles as an assistant (Rodgers). And there are at least three other Finals appearances (Fitch, Houston; Jackson, LAL, twice) ... three NBA coach of the year awards ... two of the ten greatest coaches in NBA history.
  20. So contact UND and see if they have visiting team seats available.
  21. It has to be a mistake because: a) no way in <bleep> would Hak have them play four games in six days, and b) the CC schedule shows it as Feb 26/27 (Fri/Sat).
  22. 22 minutes! Who had 22 minutes in the "How long until Blutarsky's rant" is linked pool?
  23. Mailing it in, eh? This conversation is appropriate on October 2, 2009. Not a day, not a minute, before. When you're two goals down late in the third do you: a) head to the locker room, or b) press, and maybe go six skaters. Not sure? Ask Jack Parker, or Dave Hakstol.
  24. I-i-i-i like-ke-ke-ke it-t-t-t in-n-n your-r-r-r head-d-d-d ... Not-t-t-t much-ch-ch else-se-se in-n-n here-re-re ... Lots-s-s-s of-f-f open-n-n-n-n-n-n space-ce-ce-ce-ce ... </echo sound effect> (Dude, you can't make it that easy for me. )
