UND loses money in that space may have been more useful for some other research or grant program. (Sorry, but I couldn't let spin in that direction spin with out some counter spin.) As far as cost/rates to go to UND, 82SiouxFan sums it up well.

We expect you to curb your dog. And you may use the definition of your choosing.

Anyone else seeing some bitter-sweet irony in the signature of "MissSioux85"? The dominant jersey in the photo is a guy who selfishly blew a second chance and let down his team. All for one, one for all ... indeed.

No, I haven't received hockey (or football) season tickets yet, nor have I received a former area goalie in the mail either. And I hope the latter doesn't come COD.

The angle of the lettering is too steep. You notice the glove more than the sweater. There's nothing unique or eye-catching about it. The Maple Leafs have more going on on their sweaters. Are we sure this isn't really just a new practice target jersey? The only way it could be worse is if it said "Michigan State" on front. This looks more like a throw-back (that should be thrown back) to an era they never had. So, be careful, I might not hold back and tell you what I really think about it. If you have a team crest wear it out there. If I want script lettering on the chest I'll look at baseball teams.

We've seen the new womens jerseys. So, ... where are these new RBK Edge* jerseys? * Yes, they are RBK Edge, and the design won't be changing much as Hak (approver) claims to be a traditionalist regarding the jersey.

There has to be an on-campus whisper mill running regarding possible third goalies. So, there has to be a serviceable goalie or two somewhere on campus planning to walk on. Names? * serviceable: played a year or two as a back-up in juniors or won a section title in the MnSHSL.

Actually I believe this to be a good thing. It seemed that FSN-North needed to take a TV break before each Gopher power play, but seldom before an opponent advantage. With a set schedule of TV TOs the risk for devious and cunning commercial coersion is lessened. As far as length of game, games at UW, UM, and UND already had TV TOs in them. To me it seemed FSSN was taking four per period (16, 12, 8, 4 minute marks). Someone with games on tape from recent seasons could probably verify or refute this. Now having a set and consistent three probably won't have much overall impact.

I believe that's called "building a bad reputation." I'm sure that was starting to hurt them (see: NAIA home games). The only way to fix it is to rebuild the reputation. One way to do that is to go on the road, like they seem to be doing again. If they drop back into the buy-out habit it'll only hurt them on future scheduling issues.

I concur. However, we've heard about so many "play through it" injuries after recent seasons I'm wondering why another skater isn't looked at. Blais seemed to run with 26 (15F, 8D, 3G).

14 forwards: seems like opportunity for a walk-on (as one more would make five lines for practice). And no name for a third goalie, or did I miss it?

Only maybe as a motivator. And now, for those of you waiting for me to say it: The only "poll" that matters is the "pole" a championship banner is raised on.

There are close to a handful of players from each of Florida, California, and Texas (plus one from Ohio) today. Yes, you have to keep looking in your own back yard, but you also have to see what else you can go out and get.

Given Dominque Hawkins, Delano Saporu, and Kenny Watkins are our top three corners right now you may be a tad off in your assessment.

And if there ever was an expert on pointless ...

I guess someone else can win at cards in the Zamboni room now. We so often think of sending people from UND Hockey to the pros when really we've had one here all this time.
-
As others have said, you could be mistaken here. All you have to do is get a copy of the FSU, or Utah, or Illinois, non-conference schedules. And also please remember the "big universities" (assumably you mean Wisconsin and Iowa) have stepped back and aligned their campus policy to follow the NCAA list. UND is currently off that list and has until November 2011 to find a way to keep itself off said list (or face what comes with being on it).

Where's the Brewster championship caliber scheduling philosophy in that?

Not a lot more need be said. (More details in case you need them.)
