I was shaking my head at the time asking what there was to lose in going. I'd have been happier if they'd have let Zeb Miller have a go from 55.

The Dutch farmer lurks out there. He made a move a year ago to ensure his resume would have the correct credentials when the time comes. It's coming ...

I expected the punt at Montana. Why? Here are the first two drives from the UC-Davis game: UCD 1st V18 15:00 Kickoff H00 11:57 *TOUCHDOWN 7-82 3:03 UND 1st V47 11:51 Kickoff V38 10:24 Punt 3-9 1:27
Davis takes the opening kick on an 82 yard TD drive. On the Davis kickoff UND gets a long return to the Davis 47, and punts on 4th and 1 from the Davis 38. The team was 3-5 and winless in the GWFC at the time. What do you have to lose? Go for it. I used to complain about Lennon's hyper-conservative offensive approach. Now I'm wondering, ... was it really Dale?

High School Football

Because Valley City, Devils Lake, and Shanley are too big to compete against Velva but too small to compete against Bismarck High. And everyone needs a trophy. -
He looks like he's aiming instead of throwing. Please tell me the pistol offense is for Comes or Demler.

I know a guy who calls this "Fred Astaire football": 1-2-3 kick, 1-2-3 kick ...
-
Good news: A guy wearing UND 12 is managing the field position game. Bad news: He's the punter.

I think the UM QB's shoe laces are untied. Or else he just wants to help our sack count by falling down.
-
Our passing game makes me want to yac, or is it spelled yack.
-
UM 13 UND 10 H UND should probably be up in this one. Too little UND red zone offense.
-
Nichols (soph) isn't in so Hendrickson must be a better passer. <gulp> Please tell me that the pistol was put in place for Comes or Demler. If not, how about we put the pistol offense where Coach Jones put the MBB Princeton offense.

Pistol offense without a trigger(man).

The Herald reported on Nov 6 that Alerus Center will be getting a new playing surface. Does anyone know the details? Will it be another "magic carpet" system like is in place now? Or will it be one of FieldTurf's "Convertible Tray System" approaches (like BC Place in Vancouver) or a roll-up strip system (No Az has this) like found in this: http://www.hellasconstruction.com/projectfiles/Sportfield%20Management%20Magazine_SyntheticTurf.pdf

Keep the personal stuff to IMs.

What exactly are you predicting there? a. That we'll be watching Hulk re-runs instead of the game b. Lou Ferrigno will be at the game looking a little green c. The UM cheer team will be tossing out stuffed teddy bears to the crowd

... and fall by five.

Shorten that by a year. Why? Big Sky.

Bison Dan is really Najla Amundson: staff directory.

And we thank you. NDSU has always wanted into the BTC. Well, congrats, you're in the Bus Trip Conference. Seems Montana, the big dog of the pack, is happy we're in the Big Sky.

SUU was to appease the travel cost wing of the Big Sky. UND was to appease the conference presidents that wanted a research university with nationally known professional schools. And USD ... well, I've posted my thoughts on that already: the MVFC flinched, just like Fullerton expected. And NDSU ... well, maybe we'll help little brother get in the BSC someday. But that day won't come for a while because of their buyouts with Summit and MVFC if they go before 2015. And I foresee a "MAC-like" FBS conference in the west in the future when the research-wing of the BSC is all ready to jump.

Neutral site: Lisbon.

What draws crowds? - meaningful games - good opponents - wins - not playing on "bad" dates (like hunting openers) And making the Alerus staff friendly wouldn't hurt either.

The Border Patrol loves the location of GFAFB. They can fly Predators and some day Reapers out of there to patrol the northern border. That will help keep that facility on-line.
