  1. Here's my issue: Nebraska or Iowa State. I see an FCS coach in ND and he's a Nebraska alumnus. He carries that Nebraska "expect to win" attitude and it rubs off. I see an FCS coach in ND and he's an Iowa State alumus. He carries that Iowa State "nice to be here, we competed hard" attitude and it rubs off. UND Hockey fans (which admittedly I am one) would not stand for an Iowa State attitude at the helm of UND Hockey. Nor should UND Hockey fans put up with that attitude in UND Football. Why? It rubs off. Mussman's teams need to start showing up for an entire game, or he needs to stop showing up.
  2. Pantone 347 ... Ha! And that is not Pantone 347. Plus, we have an athletics font ... but we don't use it! Why not? See "Athletics Font" in this: http://www.undsports.com/downloads1/340779.pdf?ATCLID=204768425&SPSID=58715&SPID=6409&DB_LANG=C&DB_OEM_ID=13500
  3. My prediction? ZZ Hop is the game's individual rush leader, but UND runs for more total rush yards. (Think: QB scrambles.) PS - All the SDSU fans that borrow my name for Zenner need to send me royalty fees.
  4. Week 2 has commenced, and with it comes the end of this thread. Good night and good luck.
  5. What are the on-site ticket resale laws in Colorado? It'd be tempting to buy the "group" pack and stand outside the arena selling to UND fans walking up.
  6. To those complaining about Cable One: Clearly you live in Fargo to have the issue. Me? I have Midcontinent, and yet I drive more than 75 miles (Fargo to GF = 75 miles) to every home game. So here's your solution: physically go to the games. I'm doing it from that distance plus.
  7. Beat SDSU ... then watch them win out the rest of their season.
  8. Welcome to Betting 101: The House sets the line to try to get equal action on both sides of the game. Giving 9 means the House is trying to get more folks to pick SDSU. Given that SDSU is ranked and UND is not, to me it says many folks don't know what to expect with UND hosting the game so the House needs to entice some extra SDSU action.
  9. I'm looking for true centers on the roster and I'm struggling. MarkMac and Pattyn, sure. But others? Johnson and Chyzyk can but neither has very much NCAA ice time. Caggiula? St. Clair? Rocco?
  10. Another year, another refresher: Getter. Setter. Shooter.
  11. Q: The rabbit with the pancake on it's head, where did it get the pancake? A: Where else would a rabbit go but ... I-hop. <bah-dump-bump ... ting!>
  12. Who's going to photo-shop the "treasured M" onto that image?
  13. Heck, we're living under the spectre of the old moniker; we might as well embrace it. Why not just adopt the moniker "Spectre". And yeah, I still get my cool black jerseys (same as Reapers).
  14. Because we all know the next issue is just a lawn mower toss away, I'll shut this one down.
  15. So you run by the "You can't toke all day if you don't start in the morning!" motto, eh? Nice. Thanks to you and your easily offended faculty and minions at the NCAA.
  16. Denial Anger Bargaining Depression Acceptance
  17. Dearest Bunnies, There are no worries for you over the next two weeks. Please, please, just focus on your FBS opponent and your "rivals" from Fargo that close out September for you. That is all. Signed,
  18. I was surprised at the number of first downs Butler got against SDSU, no matter who was playing.
  19. Would the depth be better? Arguably. But is depth the whole issue? Right now the greatest asset is the vision and focus of the staff there. They can prep a team for a game second to none. They seem to be able to manage a schedule years in advance. I see Bohl's departure some day as the biggest danger to competitiveness at NDSU.
  20. ... Or stupid. He's a Gopher. Never mind ...
  21. This is touching on something that I've wondered about: Of late, UND looks smaller than many opponents. Maybe it's the black uniforms. Maybe it's the Hardin factor. He's not big (neither is McGill). Maybe it's TV. But to my eyes UND's legs, and many of the players in general, are smaller than the opposition.
  22. You're stretching. The article says the moped may be owned by a Gopher coach. We don't know who owns it for sure (and can't say it was bought for a player). However, we can ask who owns said moped and if GG had authority to operate it, and if that allowance is a violation if it's an inappropriate benefit to a student athlete.
  23. Don't ever criticize Faison for strong and proper reaction to a bad situation. What's that? Get out in front of it, because then you can set the message (aka "spin") as best you can. That is something some folks at NDSU would do well to understand and start to practice. It's better and easier than reacting to the next "find" by a cub reporter looking in the City of Fargo/Cass County/State of ND law enforcement blotters.
