I incorrectly posted on the 2011 Recruiting thread.....

Some recruiting news:

We have made an offer to Schany, the NE LB. He also has offers from Colorado and Ohio

Two new names on the "Of interest" list - a LB from OR and QB out of AZ.

Wiki has been updated.

He should go to Air Force, veer, best education he can get out of any of the listed schools, and a ton of prestige that goes along with the Academy. Referring to Mollberg.

Will not happen. He won't go the the Air Force Academy. Brewster who had been at Minnesota told them about him because he can run the veer and he could run their offense. Northern Illinois now coming after him also.

Best education for which major??? Ag is better at your Ag College or SDSU. Business, Accounting, Entrepreneurship programs probably better at UND. Education and coaching better at UND or SDSU. Engineering might be a wash depending on which Engineering. Nursing better at UND. Pharmacy better at your ag School in Fargo. Air Force is the one school that has an aviation program that can compete with UND for recruits. Don't sell these schools short. Air Force Academy is a great school but so are the other three. Grads from the two Dakota Ag Schools and The University of North Dakota are highly recruited because of the so called midwestern work ethic and the excellent reputation of the schools.

UND has offered Austin Apodaca, a 6'2", 175 dual-threat QB from Longmont (Silver Creek), CO

This has been added to Wiki and will add other prospective recruits to the list later tonight or tomorrow.

Courtesy Vic Ames of Minnesota Preps, another six prospects and one offer has been added to Wiki. The offer is to DJ Hebert, 6'2", 185 athlete from Osseo. He also has offers from USD and SDSU.

New offer.

TE Taj Rich Minnesota Robbinsdale Cooper Sr. 6'1" N/A N/A - no other known offers

http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/recruiting/player-Taj-Rich-128507

Can't find much online about him, but as a freshman (5'8", 165 lbs.) he averaged 7.1 tackles per game. Sounds like a smart kid as well, as he's hearing from the Ivy League.....

I wasn't able to find much either other than he is 6'2", 215. He also plays LB - his size appears to be better suited for LB than TE. He must be bright as Ivy League schools have interest in him.

Per the SFI twitter feed, UND has offers out to Andrew Larson-RB (Eden Prairie), Brett Pierce-DE (Holy Angels), Taj Rich-LB (Robb. Cooper). We knew about Rich before, but the others are new.

Wiki has been updated with this info as well as some new offers from other schools to recruits we have offered.

Interesting that Pierce (6'6", 250) is a very good goalie for Holy Angels' hockey team.

Reportedly Dustin Adams, big OL from Minot, has commited to Hawaii.
