It's a joke that Phil Jackson is considered one of the top coaches of all-time. Forrest Gump could have coached Scottie & Michael and then Kobe & Shaq to 9 titles combined.

Well then, Doug Collins, Del Harris, and Kurt Rambis would have loved to have been Forrest Gump's coaching staff. :glare:

I say congratulations to Phil Jackson. Whether you like his politics or not, it is wonderful to see a native of North Dakota make the acheivements he has and now be recognized for it. At the very least, now the Sioux coaching staff can not only say that UND has had more players and coaches go on to the NBA than any other school in North Dakota, but now they can say that we have had more NBA hall-of-famers than any other school in the state of North Dakota. ???

Phil Jackson, the Wonder Years

"As far as basketball is concerned, what I think got him was the warrior mentality they went into battle with 'It's a good day to die,'" Rosen says about Jackson, who was influenced by Native Americans while growing up in North Dakota and later playing for the University of North Dakota Fighting Sioux. "He felt that was the way you had to approach a basketball game as ''This is the last basketball game you are ever going to play.'"
