GRAFTONhockey Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 Does anyone know when games start and which teams open with each other? GRAFTON-PR opens tomorrow (Saturday) at a jamboree in Warroad. Quote
He Who Shoots Top Shelf Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 Thanks for the help, but to avoid any other confusion I'm talking the actual season openers not the all 350 (exaggeration) jamborees going on with teams around the state. Quote
extremerouge Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 i got a quick question, when does that mcbain fella get to start playing for south? does he have to sit out at all? Quote
Siouxhockey78 Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 grafton plays on the 27th and 30th of this Month verses North and South. They are a really young team. Lots of Sophmores. Quote
andtheHomeoftheSIOUX!! Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 I know that Minot lost to Dickinson and beat Bismarck at the Hazen jamboree. I was told the Dickinson win was a fluke. Quote
NoDakSioux Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 Any ideas on who will win between Jamestown and Devils Lake tomorrow, i see Jamestown winning 5-3 Quote
He Who Shoots Top Shelf Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 Should be an interesting game for both these guys. Since it is in Devils Lake and they seem to have the better goaltender I like them in a 2-1 maybe 3-1 with an empty net goal. Any other words out west on Williston, McBainless Hazen, BHS, and Century? Quote
dumndummer Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 i got a quick question, when does that mcbain fella get to start playing for south? does he have to sit out at all? I have heard he is not elegible to play until early january. he can play jv til then Quote
dizzle-1 Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 Any ideas on who will win between Jamestown and Devils Lake tomorrow, i see Jamestown winning 5-3 I disagree. I would have to say i would take Devils Lake on this one. On Saturday this last weekend Jamestown played in a jamboree in West Fargo. They lost to North and WF. Not sure about the other one, but they only had two lines and 4 or 5 D on the team. I dont know if that was their whole team but they only had 10 or 11 guys. I also noticed that they were in the box many times, which is no surprise, but will hurt them this year. They do have a good returning player in Zac Welding, but they lost Brett Ritchie their leading scorer last year. I would predict DL- 5 Jamestown-2. Quote

ndm49 Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 "your wrong Jamestown beat West Fargo 4-3 and Jamestown was playing JV and Varsity players against all Varsity teams" If you honestly believe that Jamestown was the only team playing JV players I feel sorry for you. I'm sure that the other teams were playing it like the Stanley Cup finals. I bet every team in ND and Mn that scrimaged last weekend played jv players that is why they don't count. Quote
thehockeyguy Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 From what I heard of this passed weekend it sounded like North did pretty well in the WF scrimmages. I heard they won two and lost one. Their only loss which was to WF was 3-2 and North played their second goalie for half of the scrimmage and he has never played goalie before this year. In the other 2 games they won 5-2 and 4-2. It will be interesting to see how they do this weekend. I am also looking forward to a good game between Grafton and South. I guess we will really find out about Grafton's goalie problems, if any, in that game. Quote
siouxhockey33 Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 anybody got any info of jamestown/devils lake Quote
BenchRanger Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 anybody got any info of jamestown/devils lake D.L over J-Town 6-5 Quote
Stiouxy Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 D.L over J-Town 6-5 Just barley squeeking by J town at home. After seeing that i really doubt they will be able to contend with the top half of the EDC. Quote
hockey21 Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 Any predictions on the South GPR game. GPR has a ton of scoring power and South has a great goalie and average scoring power. Should be a good one. Quote
PCM Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 This belongs in the high school hockey thread. Quote
andtheHomeoftheSIOUX!! Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 Are there any schools that are looking at adding hockey? I would think that Saint Mary's in Bismarck would eventualy be able to have a team. I am currious as to what North Dakota High School hockey's future holds. Will it become better and send more kids on to higher levels or will it dissapear in favor of Junior Gold or something else. How about youth hockey? Since that is the feeder for High School teams are any youth programs getting bigger. North Dakota is now going to be seperate from Minnesota in the USA Hockey districs. What kind of an effect will that have? Thanks. Quote
Csonked Out Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 st. mary's did have a team in the 1970's bu couldn't retain it for numerous reasons. Most st. mary's hockey players go to BHS to play hockey, been like that for over 2 decades already and i dont see it changeing any time soon Quote
nd06hockey Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 Did anyone see the Jamestown/Devils Lake game? Any summary on that? I know Welding got 4 goals for Jamestown and Enderle finished with 20? saves for Jamestown...I don't know who scored for DL and what else went on...any info? Quote
