jk Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 I got in around the start of the third period, and like dagies, I read the thread before turning on the radio. It's an old habit that goes back to the days when the score update threads on USCHO ruled. I was terrified to listen to the third period and jinx the whole affair. Fortunately it worked out fine. As good as Phil is, it looks like maybe we're riding Parise the rest of the way. Good win for the boys against a team that you know is desperate for a win -- and they'll be even more desperate tomorrow night. Quote
dakotadan Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 Here it is again... My water tastes like barley for some reaseon. Quote
dagies Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 Huge win for the Sioux. Validates the effort from last weekend though they didn't get the results at that time. Sounds like they played a pretty good game, and got the goaltending they needed from Jordy. Way to go, guys. Let's hope they are that much more acclimated by tomorrow night and have enough in the tank to take another one home. We've got one, so we have a chance for 2. Quote
PCM Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 yes, but they have lost 7 times in a row to CC there It's just hard for some people to get that great win against Holy Cross and its goalie out of their minds. Quote
Bin Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 WOO HOO!! How come nobody knows this song anymore? One of the best ever. Should become part of freshman orientation. ( Again) Quote

PCM Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 Lets hope they continue this strong play into tomorrow night Let's get Stafford, Zajac, Spirko and Porter on the scoreboard tomorrow night. Quote
dagies Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 Hak Felt the guys were ready to play from the beginning. Duncan was going from the get go. Says Smaby hits on Slattengren might have set the tone for the game tonite. Set the tone like a captain should do. Has a natural ability to hit in open ice. TH asks about Sterlings miss on the breakaway. Had not sure if Jordy got a piece of it or not. Hak thought the Sioux had the better energy and commitment tonite than CC. TH says CC doesn't have as good a D corp as the past. Hak agrees they are different, they are not as big as in the past. Don't have the big trees like Stuart and Petiot. Not very physical. Thought Toews put a strong power forward move on for his goal, but a bigger D might have prevented that goal. You wouldn't believe how quick Toews hands are on that goal unless you see it on replay. Hak said Duncan played very well tonite. Had a good night last Saturday night and he's played well with Stafford and Toews in the past. Paid off tonite. Quote
