NCAA accepts hockey's age proposal for 19 after basketball and soccer threw right behind it.

Nice.  It's what the entire hockey world wanted.

Huge…hockey’s path was so great because it gave late bloomers a chance. I’m fine with removing 25 year olds and guys who’ve already played pro, but cutting kids’ path at 22 (in some cases) was a bit aggressive. Especially for those kids who’ve already started HS and will graduate prior to 18.

Happy that it will keep some kids in high school longer in MN to play in the state tourney. Should be similar to now where the decent players jump after JR/SR year to juniors. Would’ve likely been after sophomore year if the previous rule had passed

The finalists for Harvard

"Top 10 job" 🤔

Not sure who thinks this is a "top 10 job" outside of Bucci and Colby and the voices in their heads. Top 20 or 25 job is more like it.

Minnesota wasn't even a "top 10 job with who they hired and had as finalists

Top 10 job back in the 80’s.

Maybe top 10 for compensation?

My understanding is that Harvard is known for underpaying employees given the high cost of living in the Boston area, but this particular position is endowed, so that may be less of an issue.

Mason West's WHL rights traded from Vancouver to Portland. Guessing he deferred for another year. Doesn't want to end up like Tufte.

Hopefully this doesn't mean another chipper is about to commit to MSU for the fall.

Huh? He's committed there already

He means West getting pushed off a year to make room for another elite player.

Yeah we don't need MSU picking up someone like Mathis Preston at this stage.

Speaking of...has anyone heard if he plans to return to the Dub for another year?  Haven't heard much on him possibly going NCAA or not.

Didn’t watch him play in Fargo at all but based on his stat line this year was curious if he would actually go to MSU for 2026. Preston seems like a slim possibility but I don’t think this is new news behind the scenes so my guess is he knew this already when he decided to back to the WHL for one more year

Not to brag but I somewhat called this (granted I was assuming he was talking to LA not Toronto lol)

They interviewed at least 50 coaches.

Hiller, Kings old coach will be the Maple Leaf's coach.

Schlossman said he believes Minnesota is still in the mix as well.  Schlossman doesn’t throw things out there without some information source he trusts.
