We won the dang game. This drivel is why most fanbases hate us. - KV has had a rough go of it, for sure. He's 17 years old in his first tournament game. If you can't understand that, you don't understand much about sports. Experience, especially when you are a literal CHILD mentally, is paramount. Only way to get there? By making mistakes. Jax did the right thing and he didn't play much down the stretch last night, but the kid is unbelievably talented - Strinden got hit in the wiener. I absolutely do not think of him as a kid that will take a dive. You could see it on his face on the bench. - Not our best game offensively, but I wholly disagree that we didn't play well in front of Spoons. The last 10 minutes were a clinic on keeping a team to the outside and keeping pucks from the slot For all the whining and moaning we did after last season, you think this place could enjoy a frickin' tournament win. Go get it done tomorrow, boys, so we can complain more... See? Told ya! 😁 6 1 Quote
Popular Post RedFrog Posted Saturday at 03:40 PM Popular Post Posted Saturday at 03:40 PM Wanted to share a quick story from the regional. I have not had much luck watching the Sioux play when we have traveled to watch them in the NCAA tournament. Went to the 2006 Regional at the Ralph ... that one went well. Went to the 2007 Frozen Four in St. Louis (lost to BC - at least got to see Duncan's Hobey in person) Went to the 2008 Frozen Four in Denver (lost to BC) Went to the 2011 Frozen Four in St. Paul (lost to Mich) Went to the 2017 Regional in Fargo (lost to BU in double OT) Went to the 2021 Regional in Fargo (lost to UMD in 5 OT) I have been hesitant to travel to watch as it is depressing when they aren't successful, but I talked my wife into making the trek to Sioux Falls this year. Was just happy to get the win on Thursday and still be vested going into Saturday. My wife is a big fan, but doesn't get into the games much ... typically on her phone or visiting. All day Saturday leading up to the game she complained how nervous and anxious she was, to the point where her stomach was upset. Really unusual for her to get that vested. After we scored the third goal in the 1st period, I asked her if she was feeling better ... she said no and that she would feel better once it was 5-0. After the fifth goal was scored, she looked at me and said she was better and that she knew we were going to win. Glad to have gotten that monkey off our backs. 2 10 Quote

Felt the same way in Tampa, just happy to win the semifinals so I could fully enjoy the trip. Will be feeling similar in Vegas next week 1 Quote

No better feeling than just enjoying a hockey game you don’t have to stress over knowing your team made the championship game. 2 Quote
burd Posted Saturday at 06:17 PM Posted Saturday at 06:17 PM For many years I would slide into a months-long depression after an NCAA tourney loss, but things have gotten better. With help. If we lose to WI on Thursday, I’ll probably beat the dog to death, but I’ll be pretty much back to normal by the end of April. Every day and in every way, I am getting better and better. 1 1 Quote
siouxfaninseattle Posted Sunday at 12:15 AM Posted Sunday at 12:15 AM I went to four frozen fours without seeing them win a game. But then there was Tampa. Ahhhh 1 Quote
